  • Foster Moreau TE | HOU

Saints' Foster Moreau: Doubtful for Week 3

Moreau (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game in Green Bay, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Moreau practiced in a limited capacity Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice. If Moreau sits out Sunday's game as expected, Jimmy Graham could see extended action behind Juwan Johnson, with more snaps at tight end possibly going to the versatile Taysom Hill as well.

  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

Bills' Dawson Knox: Practices fully, slated to play

Knox (back) practiced in full Friday and doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's Week 3 game against the Commanders.

Knox missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but it was evidently just precautionary. On nine targets through two games, Knox has six catches for 35 yards and one touchdown. He's a TD-dependent fantasy option in a tough draw against Washington's stout back end.

  • Logan Thomas TE | SF

Commanders' Logan Thomas: Won't play this week

Thomas (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Buffalo, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

Thomas didn't practice this week after an early exit from last Sunday's 35-33 win over Denver. He's seen 11 targets in six quarters of action this season, but there's no guarantee of similar involvement for the backup tight ends with both John Bates and Cole Turner likely to play a lot.

  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

Bills' Dawson Knox: Returning to practice

Knox (back) is in line to practice Friday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Knox didn't practice either Wednesday or Thursday, so his looming return to the field Friday offers hope that the tight end could suit up Sunday against the Commanders. The Bills' upcoming injury report will clarify both Knox's level of participation as well as whether he'll head into the weekend with a Week 3 injury designation.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Giants' Darren Waller: Quiet night in loss

Waller secured three of six targets for 20 yards in the Giants' 30-12 loss to the 49ers on Thursday night.

Waller co-led the team in targets but finished with his lowest yardage total in the first three games of the season. The veteran tight end was also the intended target on Daniel Jones' final pass of the night, one that resulted in an interception by the 49ers' Talanoa Hufanga with 3:48 remaining. Waller's production will naturally be inexorably tied to Jones moving forward, particularly concerning when considering how poorly the quarterback has played for all but the second half of the Week 2 comeback win over the Cardinals.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Best game of season Thursday

Kittle secured seven of nine targets for 90 yards in the 49ers' 30-12 win over the Giants on Thursday night.

Kittle exceeded the combined 6-49 line he'd posted over the first two games in Thursday night's double-digit win, finishing second to Deebo Samuel in receiving yards and targets while pacing the 49ers in receptions. The dynamic tight end also recorded his longest gain of the young season on a 29-yard grab on the last play of the third quarter. Kittle's boost in production was almost certainly a byproduct of Brandon Aiyuk's absence due to a shoulder injury, but the veteran pass catcher should still carry bright fantasy prospects into a Week 4 home matchup on Sunday, Oct. 1 against a Cardinals team that's had trouble defending his position early this season.

  • Will Dissly TE | LAC

Seahawks' Will Dissly: Misses practice Thursday

Dissly (shoulder) didn't practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

The tight end has now sat out both of the Seahawks' first two Week 3 practices. If Dissly ends up sitting out Sunday versus Carolina, Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson will split tight end duties. Dissly has reeled in all five of his targets for 52 scoreless yards through two games.

  • Steelers' Darnell Washington: Upgraded to limited Thursday

Washington (knee) was limited in Thursday's practice, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

The rookie has yet to earn a target on 23 pass routes through two games and is well off the fantasy radar outside of dynasty formats. Washington's mainly been filling a blocking role.

  • Logan Thomas TE | SF

Commanders' Logan Thomas: Officially DNP on Thursday

Thomas (concussion) officially didn't practice Thursday.

This comes as no surprise after Thomas wasn't seen during the media-access portion of the session. He'll thus have just one more chance to show that he's progressing through the concussion protocol, which he's currently in due to a helmet-to-helmet hit that he took from Broncos safety Kareem Jackson this past Sunday. If Thomas is unable to suit up Week 3 against the Bills, John Bates and Cole Turner will be the Commanders' primary tight ends this Sunday.

  • Foster Moreau TE | HOU

Saints' Foster Moreau: Upgraded to limited Thursday

Moreau (ankle) was upgraded to a limited practice Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Moreau was listed as DNP on Wednesday's practice report, so this is a step in the right direction for him ahead of Week 3 versus Green Bay. On 48 percent of the offensive snaps, Moreau has two catches for 20 scoreless yards on two targets.
