Trishton Jackson WR | ARI
Trishton Jackson: Signs practice squad deal with MIN
The Vikings signed Jackson to their practice squad Wednesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Jackson caught five passes for 71 yards during preseason action but failed to land a spot on the team's initial 53-man roster. The 24-year-old wideout is still looking to make his NFL debut after going undrafted in 2020.

Dan Chisena WR | CAR
Dan Chisena: Inks practice squad deal
The Vikings signed Chisena (leg) to their practice squad Wednesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Chisena missed the Vikings' final two preseason games with a leg injury and was waived ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The third-year wideout has appeared in 25 games with Minnesota over the past two seasons, playing almost exclusively on special teams.

Lil'Jordan Humphrey WR | DEN
Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Signs with Pats' practice squad
New England signed Humphrey to its practice squad Wednesday, Mike Dussault of the Patriots' official site reports.
Fellow wideout Tre Nixon will join Humphrey on the practice squad, giving New England a couple of in-house promotion options should an injury strike one of the wideouts on the 53-man roster. With New Orleans last season, Humphrey appeared in 10 games and totaled 13 receptions for 249 yards and two touchdowns.

Tyrie Cleveland WR | IND
Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Returns to practice Wednesday
Cleveland (neck) returned to practice Wednesday, Ellie Kinney of the Broncos' official site reports.
Cleveland suffered a throat injury during an Aug. 1 practice and has been sidelined since. However, the third-year wideout returned to practice Wednesday and appears in line to be ready for Week 1. The 2020 seventh-round pick has mostly operated on special teams during his first two NFL campaigns, but he could be in store for a bigger offensive workload in 2022 with Tim Patrick (knee) on season-ending IR.
-
Trinity Benson WR | CLE
Trinity Benson: Waived from IR
The Lions waived Benson (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Benson will now be free to sign with a new team during the 2022 campaign. The 25-year-old wideout caught six of 14 targets for 76 yards across three preseason contests.

Ihmir Smith-Marsette WR | ARI
Ihmir Smith-Marsette: Cut by Vikes
The Vikings waived Smith-Marsette on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
A 2021 fifth-round pick, Smith found it difficult to make inroads in a receiving corps led by Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen and K.J. Osborn as a rookie last season. Smith likely was destined for work on special teams again in 2022, but his performances on that front during exhibition season weren't encouraging. Across three games, he recorded five punt returns for 40 yards (8.0 average) and three kick returns for 55 yards (18.3 average). With Minnesota landing Jalen Reagor via trade Wednesday, Smith-Marsette was deemed expendable by the team. If Smith-Marsette passes through waivers unclaimed, he'll be a candidate to be signed to Minnesota's practice squad.
-
Racey McMath WR | DAL
Titans' Racey McMath: Placed on IR
The Titans placed McMath (undisclosed) on injured reserve Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
McMath originally made the 53-man roster, but after being placed on injured reserve, he'll be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season. The 2021 sixth-round pick appeared in nine games as a rookie, catching two of six targets for eight yards, and submitted a strong training camp. It's unclear what his role will be when he returns from injury.
-
Andre Baccellia WR | ARI
Andre Baccellia: Back in Arizona
The Cardinals signed Baccellia to their practice squad Wednesday, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports.
Baccellia didn't play in the Cardinals' last two preseason games after picking up an ankle injury in the team's exhibition opener. However, as expected, he returns to Arizona's organization via a practice squad deal. Baccellia is still looking to make his regular-season NFL debut.
-
Erik Ezukanma WR | PHI
Dolphins' Erik Ezukanma: Solidified on 53-man roster
Ezukanma was included on Miami's initial 53-man roster Tuesday, while fellow wideouts Preston Williams and Lynn Bowden were both cut.
Ezukanma put together an impressive preseason with the Dolphins, one highlighted by a 114-yard receiving game against the Eagles in the second week. His inclusion on the roster thus comes as no big surprising, and with Williams and Bowden cut loose, Miami is currently only carrying five wideouts heading into Week 1. Trent Sherfield currently looks like Ezukanma's only competition for the No. 4 wideout gig behind Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle (lower body) and Cedrick Wilson.

Michael Gallup WR | WAS
Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Impressing coach with progress
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Gallup (knee) "looks excellent" and has avoided any setbacks in his recovery from ACL repair surgery, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
McCarthy's comments are the latest hint that Gallup could play early in the season, though both the wideout and the team have said a Week 1 cameo is unlikely. The Cowboys chose to keep him on the active roster rather than moving him to injured reserve on cutdown day, a move that would have ruled Gallup out for the first four weeks of the season. He suffered the ACL tear Week 17 last season and seemingly has a shot to miss only a couple games because of it.
