David Bell WR | CLE
Browns' David Bell: Builds off debut
Bell caught all three targets for 36 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Bears.
Bell followed up a productive preseason debut last week (three catches, 46 yards) with another promising effort. It looks even better when compared to Cleveland's other receivers vying for spots behind unquestioned No. 1 Amari Cooper. Donovan Peoples-Jones caught one of three targets for four yards, while Anthony Schwartz's rocky preseason continued (one catch on six targets, two drops, eight yards). Bell is expected to start as a slot receiver but eventually could move into an outside role.

Demarcus Robinson WR | SF
Ravens' Demarcus Robinson: Stars in preseason finale
Robinson caught four of six targets for 135 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason finale against Washington.
Recently released by Kansas City, the 27-year-old wideout made his case for a roster spot in Baltimore with two long gains on double moves. Both were arguably bad defense rather than great route running, but it at least keeps Robinson in the mix for a roster spot on a team that has one of the weakest WR depth charts in the league.
-
Dyami Brown WR | WAS
Commanders' Dyami Brown: Drops two passes
Brown caught two of five targets for 42 yards in Saturday's 17-15 loss to Baltimore in the preseason finale.
Brown made a nice snag on his first target but then dropped a couple passes. It's not a great sign, in any case, that he was on the field in a game where all starters were rested. The 2021 third-round pick likely has a roster spot, but only as the fourth or fifth receiver in an offense without much potential.
-
Kyle Philips WR | LV
Titans' Kyle Philips: Starts final preseason game
Philips did not record a reception or target in Saturday's 26-23 preseason win over Arizona.
Philips started the game in a three-receiver set alongside Treylon Burks and Robert Woods. Philips didn't record any statistics but also served as the punt returner early in the game. Philips may give way to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine early in the season for offensive snaps, but he has impressed during training camp and will have the chance to showcase his talent on special teams.

Ihmir Smith-Marsette WR | ARI
Vikings' Ihmir Smith-Marsette: Paces pass catchers in loss
Smith-Marsette brought in all three targets for 63 yards and returned one punt for 21 yards in the Vikings' 23-13 preseason loss to the Broncos on Saturday night.
Smith-Marsette's performance was encouraging under any circumstance, but even more so with fellow wideouts Bisi Johnson (knee) and Jalen Nailor (concussion) both exiting the game with injuries. Smith-Marsette also redeemed himself as a returner after a poor showing in that regard in last Saturday's loss to the 49ers, and he appears set to open the season in a No. 4 or No. 5 receiver role in addition to primary punt-return duties.
-
Jalen Reagor WR | MIA
Eagles' Jalen Reagor: Suits up for preseason finale
Reagor played but not did not record any stats in Saturday's 48-10 preseason loss to Miami.
Reagor wasn't a heavy part of the game plan in Philadelphia's preseason finale, but the fact that he suited up at all is concerning. While it wasn't a big surprise that none of DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown or Quez Watkins didn't suit up, Zach Pascal was also rested for the game. Reagor may survive final roster cuts to remain in Philadelphia, but he doesn't appear poised for a big role to begin the regular season.

Cedrick Wilson Jr. WR | DET
Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: One reception in preseason finale
Wilson recorded one reception on one target for 16 yards in Saturday's 48-10 preseason win over Philadelphia.
Wilson caught his first pass from Tua Tagovailoa in game action, though he tallied four receptions for 45 yards across the team's three exhibition games. After signing in Miami during the offseason, Wilson figures to serve as the team's third receiver behind Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill to begin the regular season.
-
Donovan Peoples-Jones WR | NO
Browns' Donovan Peoples-Jones: Quiet in preseason finale
Peoples-Jones caught one ball for four yards on three targets in Cleveland's preseason game against Chicago on Saturday.
Peoples-Jones should compete with rookie third-round pick David Bell for the WR2 snaps after clear WR1 Amari Cooper, and Peoples-Jones arguably remains the favorite to win that competition even after a quiet preseason. Perhaps Bell might be a little more polished than Peoples-Jones, but Peoples-Jones is significantly more athletic.
-
Montrell Washington WR | HOU
Broncos' Montrell Washington: Produces as rusher Saturday
Washington failed to bring in his only target but rushed once for 11 yards and returned one punt for four yards in the Broncos' 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings on Saturday night.
The rookie fifth-round pick couldn't follow up his back-to-back two-catch efforts to open the preseason, but he at least flashed with his one rush attempt. Despite the quiet showing overall Saturday, Washington still appears likely to open the season as the No. 4 receiver while also logging some reps at returner after what has been a solid summer.
-
Amari Cooper WR | LV
Browns' Amari Cooper: No action in preseason
Cooper didn't play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Bears, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
After splitting time between the Raiders and Cowboys since he was selected in the first round of the 2015 Draft, Cooper found himself with a new organization when the latter dealt him to Cleveland back in March. The question of who would be throwing Cooper passes Week 1 was settled when the length of Deshaun Watson's suspension was finalized Aug. 18, meaning Jacoby Brissett will be the Browns' starting quarterback from Weeks 1-12. Still, Cooper doesn't have a ton of competition for targets, with Donovan Peoples-Jones and rookie third-rounder David Bell the next players up at wide receiver. Considering he's averaged nearly 129 targets per 17 games played as a pro, Cooper is a candidate to reach the century mark in the category for the seventh time in his career.
