  • Mike Evans WR | SF

Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Logs full practice

Evans (hamstring) was a full practice participant Monday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Evans seems to be back at full strength after missing two weeks of practice. He does have a history of hamstring injuries, but he's typically recovered well with rest and has missed only seven games total in eight seasons while topping 1,000 yards each year.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Returns to practice

Marshall (hamstring) returned to practice Monday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Marshall missed the Panthers' first two preseason games, while Rashard Higgins caught five of six targets for 33 yards and a touchdown. Marshall, Higgins and Brandon Zylstra seem to be competing for the No. 3 receiver job behind DJ Moore (shoulder) and Robbie Anderson (quadriceps), both of whom also have dealt with minor injuries this summer.

  • Steelers' Calvin Austin: Feeling good, to be ready soon

Austin (foot) said Monday that he's "feeling great" and is just "waiting for coach [Mike] Tomlin's word" to return to practice, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

It sounds like the rookie hopes to play in Pittsburgh's preseason finale Sunday against Detroit after missing the first two exhibitions. Austin isn't likely to get many snaps Week 1 but still could make a bid for the No. 4 receiver spot behind Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool and George Pickens.

  • Shemar Bridges WR | BAL

Ravens' Shemar Bridges: Less involved in second preseason game

Bridges secured one of three targets for an eight-yard gain in Sunday's preseason game against the Cardinals.

After standing out in the preseason opener, Bridges had a quiet outing Sunday night. The Ravens gave a large number of receivers opportunities, which limited the chance for Bridges to see a high target volume. Still, he was inefficient with his targets. The Fort Valley State product remains in the mix as the Ravens sort out their depth at receiver, but he did not do himself many favors Sunday. Bridges will have another chance to make his case for a roster spot in the preseason finale against the Commanders on Saturday.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Back at practice

Evans (hamstring ) returned to practice Monday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Though it's unclear if Evans will practice fully, the wideout's return to the field Monday solidifies the notion that he'll be good to go for Week 1 action. It remains to be seen, however, if Evans is a candidate to see snaps in Saturday's preseason finale against the Colts.

  • Corey Davis WR | NYJ

Jets' Corey Davis: Slated to rest Monday

Davis is among the Jets players in line to be held out of Monday's preseason game against the Falcons, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

The same applies to fellow wideout Elijah Moore, among other key starters, which sets the stage for the Jets coaching staff to have an opportunity to evaluate the team's depth options ahead of roster cut-downs. As Week 1 approaches, Davis is in line to handle a key role in the team's passing game alongside Moore, with 2022 first-rounder Garrett Wilson and slot option Braxton Berrios also in the mix on that front.

  • Titans' Dez Fitzpatrick: Seeking consistency

Fitzpatrick caught both of his targets for 29 yards in Saturday's 13-3 preseason win over Tampa Bay.

Fitzpatrick showed some chemistry with Malik Willis, recording receptions of 18 and 11 yards in conjunction with the rookie quarterback. Coach Mike Vrabel specifically commented on Fitzpatrick's work after the game, noting he wanted to see more consistent blocking and route running from the second-year receiver, per Ben Arthur of The Tennessean. On the other hand, Vrabel praised Fitzpatrick for his work on special teams. Fitzpatrick will be looking to secure a spot on the roster in the final few weeks of training camp, battling with the likes of Racey McMath and Cody Hollister.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Jets' Elijah Moore: Won't play Monday

Moore and other key players, including QB Joe Flacco and WR Corey Davis, will be held out of Monday's preseason game against Atlanta, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

Flacco may get the Week 1 start while Zach Wilson recovers from a meniscus injury, though that's not necessarily a bad thing for Moore's fantasy prospects. With Moore and Davis held out Monday night, rookie first-round pick Garrett Wilson could get extended run, assuming he isn't on the sidelines as well. Wilson came in as the fourth receiver in the preseason opener, behind Moore, Davis and slot man Braxton Berrios.

  • Saints' Michael Thomas: Misses another practice

Thomas (hamstring) didn't practice Monday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Thomas also didn't practice Sunday, with Terrell noting that coach Dennis Allen didn't offer much in the way of specifics regarding the wideout's status other than to say that Thomas will be back out on the field with the teammates when he's ready to go. With that in mind, it's possible the 29-year-old will be held out of Friday's preseason finale against the Chargers.

  • Colts' Michael Pittman: Should play a bunch this week

Pittman and other starters are expected to play the first half of Saturday's preseason finale against Tampa Bay, JJ Stankevitz of Colts.com reports.

With two weeks between the end of the preseason and the start of the regular season, some teams now play starters in their final exhibition. The Colts will be among those, according to coach Frank Reich, though we won't be surprised if key guys like Pittman are pulled earlier than many other starters.
