  • DK Metcalf WR | PIT

Seahawks' DK Metcalf: No extension talks yet

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said the Seahawks haven't directly addressed the issue of a new contract for Metcalf, who showed up for the start of the voluntary offseason program while continuing his rehab from foot surgery, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

It wouldn't have been a surprise if Metcalf hadn't reported, considering he's rehabbing from surgery and oft-mentioned in trade rumors as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. He'll likely miss spring practices after foot surgery this winter, but the 24-year-old wideout should be ready for training camp and Week 1

  • Javon Wims WR | CAR

    Browns' Javon Wims: Joins Browns

Wims signed a contract with the Browns on Wednesday, Chad Krispinsky of WKBN reports.

Wims hasn't seen action on gameday since 2020 with the Bears, after spending the majority of last season on the Raiders practice squad. The 2018 seventh-round selection appeared in 33 games, recording 28 catches on 56 targets for 266 yards and two touchdowns during his three seasons with Chicago.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Wants to be traded

Samuel has asked the 49ers to trade him, according to Jeff Darlington of ESPN.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the 49ers have sought to discuss a long-term deal with the versatile wideout, but Samuel evidently would prefer a change of scenery. In any case, if San Francisco does elect to field trade offers for the 2019 second-rounder, there would no doubt be plenty of interest. Samuel is approaching the final year of his rookie deal and is thus line for a lucrative contract extension after putting together an outstanding season in 2021. ESPN's Adam Schefter previously reported that the 26-year-old wasn't expected to participate in any on-field work during the 49ers' voluntary offseason program.

  • Kadarius Toney WR | CLE

Giants' Kadarius Toney: Passing on voluntary program

Head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Toney (shoulder) isn't present for the start of voluntary offseason workouts, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Toney, who ended his rookie season dealing with a shoulder injury, isn't yet participating in team activities this offseason. Of course, it's only April, and there's still plenty of time for the 2021 first-round pick to get in some on-field work before Week 1, but his decision to abstain from early voluntary activities is notable. Perhaps most significantly, as Daboll notes, is the fact that Toney has yet to receive a copy of the new offensive playbook.

  • N'Keal Harry TE | SEA

Patriots' N'Keal Harry: Not present for voluntary program

Harry isn't present Wednesday for the start of New England's voluntary offseason program, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.

Harry is a candidate to be moved by the Patriots this offseason, and the team's recent acquisition of DeVante Parker could add further credence to that idea. The 2019 first-round pick's absence for the start of the voluntary offseason program thus doesn't come as much of a surprise. Last season, Harry was targeted just 22 times across 12 appearances, finishing with 12 catches for 184 yards.

  • Jauan Jennings WR | MIN

49ers' Jauan Jennings: Sticking with San Francisco

Jennings signed his exclusive rights tender with the 49ers on Tuesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.

Jennings will return for his third season with San Francisco as he was ineligible to negotiate with outside teams this offseason. The 2020 seventh-round pick caught 24 passes for 282 yards and five touchdowns over 16 regular-season games last season after not seeing the field in his rookie season. Jennings also accounted for 51 rushing yards on 13 carries last season and should slot in as the 49ers' No. 3 wideout in 2022 barring any changes to the position group.

  • Miles Boykin WR | CHI

Steelers' Miles Boykin: Picked up by Steelers

Boykin was claimed off waivers by the Steelers on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

The wideout will remain in the AFC North for the time being after he was waived by the Ravens on Monday. Boykin played 32 offensive snaps and was targeted just once in 2021 after starting the season on injured reserve due to a hamstring issue, going on to miss additional time while dealing with various other injuries. He saw 144 special-teams snaps over eight games, however, and could carve out a role for himself with Pittsburgh.

  • Ashton Dulin WR | IND

Colts' Ashton Dulin: Signs tender with Indianapolis

Dulin signed a one-year, $2.4 million contract with the Colts on Tuesday.

Previously a restricted free agent, Dulin was presumably unable to field an offer better than the $2.4 million tender from the Colts, so he'll return to Indianapolis for a fourth straight season. Last year, the third-year wideout caught 13 of 22 targets for 173 yards and two touchdowns while rushing three times for 32 yards -- all career highs. He was also a key contributor on special teams (279 snaps) and racked up 206 kick-return yards. With T.Y. Hilton's status for the 2022 campaign still up in the air and the NFL Draft around the corner, it's unclear what Indianapolis' wide receiver depth chart will look like heading into training camp.

  • Falcons' Olamide Zaccheaus: Signs tender with Falcons

Zaccheaus signed his contract with the Falcons on Tuesday.

Previously a restricted free agent, Zaccheaus apparently was unable to find an offer that beat the $2.433 million RFA tender from the Falcons. He'd also have a hard time finding a better chance to earn snaps and targets, considering Russell Gage left for the divison-rival Bucs and Calvin Ridley is suspended for the entire 2022 season. The Falcons still figure to add more receivers before Week 1, but Zaccheaus could nonetheless be in the mix for a starting job, joined by a cast of journeymen that includes Damiere Byrd, KhaDarel Hodge and Auden Tate.

  • Miles Boykin WR | CHI

    Miles Boykin: Cut by Baltimore

The Ravens waived Boykin on Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Boykin had just one season with more than 300 yards at Notre Dame, yet ended up a third-round pick in the 2019 Draft on the strength of a 4.42-second 40-yard dash and 43.5-inch vertical (at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds). He then started 24 of 32 games his first two seasons in Baltimore, averaging 14.5 yards per contest while primarily serving as a blocker in a run-heavy offense. Boykin does have seven TDs among his 32 career receptions, but he finished 2021 without a catch in eight games and now figures to be on the roster bubble wherever he lands.
