Chase Claypool WR | BUF
Steelers' Chase Claypool: Still dealing with hammy
Claypool (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
After missing Week 4 with the hamstring injury, Claypool put up a 5-130-1 receiving line on only 36 snaps Week 5, then managed a 2-17-0 line on a full workload (63 snaps) in Week 6. Now coming out of a Week 7 bye, he's apparently still dealing with the same injury, though Claypool doesn't seem likely to miss Sunday's game against the Browns.

DeVonta Smith WR | PHI
Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Misses practice with headache
Smith missed Wednesday's practice with a headache, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Smith likely will be viewed as day to day and should stand a good chance to rejoin practice by the end of the week. He gets an appealing Week 8 matchup with the Lions, though Philadelphia's passing game hasn't been much better than Detroit's pass defense in recent weeks.

Deebo Samuel WR | SF
49ers' Deebo Samuel: Sits out Wednesday with calf injury
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Samuel won't practice Wednesday due to a calf injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Per Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News, Shanahan noted Samuel looked "OK" during Wednesday's walk-through, while relaying optimism that the wide receiver will be available for Sunday's game at Chicago. Samuel still has a pair of practices this week to get back on the field and prove the health of his calf, but his status now bears watching as the weekend approaches.

A.J. Brown WR | NE
Titans' A.J. Brown: Not practicing Wednesday
Brown wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Brown, who had been dealing an illness, missed practice last Wednesday and Thursday, but he entered the Titans' Week 7 game against the Chiefs without a designation. He turned in a big performance in the Titans' 27-3 win, logging 42 of a possible 68 offensive snaps and catching eight passes on nine targets for 133 yards and a touchdown. With no reported setbacks in the contest, Brown may just be getting a maintenance day as the Titans begin Week 8 prep.

Kalif Raymond WR | CHI
Lions' Kalif Raymond: Gets praise from QB
Raymond is stepping up as one of the Lions' top receiving options in the absence of Tyrell Williams (concussion) and Quintez Cephus (collarbone), Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. "I love getting him the ball as much as I can and I'm starting to build a good rapport with him," quarterback Jared Goff said of Raymond.
With Cephus likely done for the season and Williams out indefinitely, only Amon-Ra St. Brown remains to challenge Raymond for consistent targets among the Lions' wide receivers. Of course, tight end T.J. Hockenson and running back D'Andre Swift are still the focal points of the passing game, but Raymond has nonetheless totaled 15 targets in two games since Cephus went down, while St. Brown drew seven. Given how often the winless Lions need to throw the ball, it's possible this heightened usage could continue as long as Williams remains sidelined. Raymond has averaged over 11 yards per catch in four of the five games in which he's drawn more than two targets this season.

Terrace Marshall Jr. WR | MIA
Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Misses practice
Marshall (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
The rookie entered the concussion protocol Week 6 and missed a Week 7 loss to the Giants. With No. 4 receiver Brandon Zylstra (hamstring) on injured reserve, Keith Kirkwood and Shi Smith both earned playing time in Marshall's absence last week, combining for seven targets and 49 snaps. Both players could help fill in for Marshall again this Sunday at Atlanta if he can't clear protocol by the end of the week.

Michael Gallup WR | WAS
Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Returns to practice
Gallup (calf) returned to practice Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The report notes that Gallup was "still taking it slow" in his first practice since Week 1, but teammate CeeDee Lamb mentioned that Gallup was "all smiles" and should be "back in no time." The Cowboys have opened their 21-day window to bring Gallup back from injured reserve, setting up a return at some point Weeks 8 through 10. It isn't yet clear if Gallup has a realistic shot to play Sunday against the Vikings.
-
DeVonta Smith WR | PHI
Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Not at practice
Smith isn't present for the start of Wednesday's practice, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.
The Eagles will release their first Week 8 injury report later Wednesday, when it will be known whether the wideout is dealing with an injury or absent from practice due to a personal issue or illness. Smith and the Eagles draw a friendly Week 8 road matchup with the Lions.

Davante Adams WR | LAR
Packers' Davante Adams: Not traveling to Arizona
Adams (illness) won't travel with the Packers to Arizona for Thursday's game against the Cardinals and is expected to remain on the reserve/COVID-19 list this week, Steve Wyche of NFL Network reports.
Adams never appeared likely to play Thursday after testing positive for the virus at the beginning of a short week. Allen Lazard has been deemed a close contact and also expected to miss the game, leaving Randall Cobb, Equanimeous St. Brown, Amari Rodgers and Malik Taylor as the four wide receivers on Green Bay's active roster. Marquez Valdez-Scantling (hamstring) is eligible to be activated from injured reserve, while Chris Blair and Juwann Winfree are options from the practice squad.

Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE
Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Looking good in practice
Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said Jeudy (ankle) had a "good practice" Tuesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Fangio previously revealed that Jeudy received medical clearance last week but didn't have time to practice before Thursday's loss to the Browns. He's now expected to return 10 days later for Sunday's Week 8 matchup with Washington, after missing six straight games with a high-ankle sprain. The Broncos will continue to monitor his progress in practice before they make a final call on removing Jeudy from injured reserve before Sunday's game.
