Isaiah Coulter WR | BUF
Bears' Isaiah Coulter: Expected to join Bears
Coulter is expected to sign with the Bears on Sunday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Coulter was cut by Houston on Aug. 16, but it didn't take long for him to find a new team. Coulter tried out with the Bears earlier in the week and apparently impressed enough for the team to sign him. As a rookie in 2020, Coulter appeared in only one game and played six offensive snaps with the Texans.

A.J. Brown WR | NE
Titans' A.J. Brown: Could suit up Saturday
Brown may see snaps during Saturday's preseason finale versus the Bears, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Per coach Mike Vrabel, the Titans are adjusting their schedule this week to resemble the one used during the regular season, likely as a means of preparation before Week 1. It could translate to Brown, Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill all making their only appearances of exhibition season, but Vrabel could opt to wait until later in the week before making such a decision.

Isaiah Hodgins WR | NYG
Bills' Isaiah Hodgins: Considered day-to-day
Hodgins (knee) is considered day-to-day, but he may be able to practice within the next week, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
The knee issue emerged for Hodgins in the team's first preseason game Aug. 13, and he has yet to retake the field. Hodgins had some momentum with strong reviews from the coaching staff regarding his play at OTAs and early on in training camp. However, this injury seemingly puts his roster spot in jeopardy, as he's also competing with Jake Kumerow and Marquez Stevenson for a role among the receiver corps.

Jauan Jennings WR | MIN
49ers' Jauan Jennings: Sitting with heel injury
Jennings won't play in Sunday's preseason game at the Chargers due to a heel injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
A 2020 seventh-round pick of the 49ers, Jennings spent parts of his rookie season on the team's practice squad. After a stay on the reserve/COVID-19 list during training camp this summer, he impressed in preseason Week 1 with three touches for 49 yards from scrimmage on 38 offensive snaps. Now, a different health concern is threatening his availability, which in turn could set him back in his case for a spot on the regular-season roster.

Deebo Samuel WR | SF
49ers' Deebo Samuel: Likely to play Sunday
Samuel (glute) is expected to play in Sunday's preseason game at the Chargers, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
There was some question about whether Samuel would be able to suit up just two days removed from exiting Friday's joint practice with the Chargers due to a "tight glute." But he'll buck the odds and likely be available for Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance alongside fellow wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Mohamed Sanu.

Darius Slayton WR | IND
Giants' Darius Slayton: To play in preseason finale
Slayton is expected to play at least the first half of next Sunday's preseason finale versus the Patriots, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports.
Slayton logged 13 snaps on offense in preseason Week 1 against the Jets, which resulted in one catch (on three targets) for eight yards. After joint practices with the Browns this past week, coach Joe Judge held out the starters this Sunday in Cleveland. With the Giants' dress rehearsal for the regular season in the near future, Slayton will be one of the key skill-position players for Daniel Jones alongside Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram, assuming Saquon Barkley (knee) and Kenny Golladay (hamstring) don't receive clearance to suit up.
-
Sterling Shepard WR | NYJ
Giants' Sterling Shepard: In line to play preseason Week 3
Shepard is slated to play at least the first half of next Sunday's preseason finale against the Patriots, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports.
Shepard hasn't seen game action so far during exhibition season, but he'll be out there next weekend with Daniel Jones, Darius Slayton and Evan Engram, at least. The question marks are Saquon Barkley (knee) and Kenny Golladay (hamstring). If both aren't cleared to suit up, Shepard would serve as the top pass-catching option for the Giants offense.
-
Khadarel Hodge WR | SF
Browns' KhaDarel Hodge: Scores in win
Hodge caught two of four targets for 21 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-13 preseason win over the Giants.
Hodge opened the scoring with a seven-yard touchdown grab in the first quarter, helping his case to earn Cleveland's fifth receiver job behind Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones. Hodge will hope to close out the preseason well with another good showing next Sunday versus the Falcons.
-
Stefon Diggs WR | WAS
Bills' Stefon Diggs: Catches passes at practice
Diggs (knee) caught passes from Josh Allen during Sunday's walkthrough practice, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
The Bills wore jerseys (sans pads) and shorts, but Diggs' presence was an encouraging sign as he looks to put a knee injury behind him. The issue has kept him out of practice since Aug. 9, a span in which he missed the team's first two preseason games. It's unclear if coach Sean McDermott will entertain the thought of getting Diggs some in-game reps in Saturday's exhibition finale Saturday against the Packers, but the wide receiver's progress this week will be one to monitor closely to get a sense of his health.
-
Donovan Peoples-Jones WR | NO
Browns' Donovan Peoples-Jones: Catches lone look
Peoples-Jones caught his only target for 13 yards in Sunday's 17-13 preseason win over the Giants.
Peoples-Jones' grab came on the first play of the second quarter. That followed an early touchdown reception from teammate KhaDarel Hodge, who's hoping to improve his stock. However, having reportedly worked with Cleveland's offensive starters recently, Peoples-Jones could be competing more with Rashard Higgins than Hodge heading into this season, when Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry undoubtedly will be the top two receiving options. As a rookie last year, Peoples-Jones finished with 14 catches for 304 yards and two touchdown while also serving as a kick and punt returner.
