  • Darius Slayton WR | NYG

Giants' Darius Slayton: Hauls in 52-yard reception

Slayton caught two of three targets for 61 yards in a Week 2 overtime loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.

Slayton was shut out in the first half but salvaged a decent final line with 61 receiving yards after halftime. Most of that production came on a 52-yard connection with Russell Wilson midway through the third quarter. Despite that big play, it doesn't bode well for his place in New York's WR pecking order that Slayton saw just three targets despite playing all but one of the team's offensive snaps, especially since Russell Wilson aired it out 41 times and gained 450 yards on 30 completions. It was already a given that Malik Nabers would hog the wideout targets for the Giants this season, but it's telling that Wan'Dale Robinson garnered 10 looks of his own and nabbed eight receptions for a career-high 142 yards Sunday. With just five targets (and two catches) through two weeks, Slayton doesn't appear to have established much chemistry with Wilson thus far.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Expects to practice after Week 4

Watson (ACL) said Monday he expects to return to practice upon his window to do so opening after Week 4, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Watson is recovering from a right ACL tear and has opened the 2025 campaign on the reserve/PUP list, so the earliest time his 21-day practice window can open will be Week 5. The Packers are on bye that week, making Week 6 against the Bengals the earliest likely possibility for Watson's regular-season debut. Green Bay signed Watson to a one-year, $13.25 million contract extension less than one week ago, signaling confidence in the 2022 second-round pick's recovery and ability to contribute on offense. With Jayden Reed (collarbone) expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks, Watson could immediately step into a significant role once he's healthy.

  • 49ers' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Logs nine snaps on offense

Valdes-Scantling failed to bring in his only target in Sunday's 26-21 win over the Saints.

Valdes-Scantling was a non-factor on offense for the second consecutive week. The veteran wideout saw his snap count drop to nine (13 percent) following the addition of WR Kendrick Bourne (49 percent). Valdes-Scantling carries no fantasy value heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Cardinals.

  • Colts' Adonai Mitchell: Two receptions in win

Mitchell had two receptions for 20 yards on four targets in Sunday's win over the Broncos.

Mitchell played on just seven of the offense's 71 snaps as he has a limited role as the No. 4 receiver. He drew raves in training camp, so he could still shine if an injury in the receiving corps gives him more opportunity.

  • Alec Pierce WR | IND

Colts' Alec Pierce: Has 68 yards receiving in win

Pierce had four receptions for 68 yards on five targets in Sunday's win over Denver.

Pierce played on 64 of the offense's 71 snaps as he improved his usage from Week 1 (three targets). Pierce is the deep threat in Indy's offense and could have more fantasy value than anticipated with Daniel Jones and Indy's passing attack looking better than expected.

  • Tim Jones WR | JAC

Vikings' Tim Jones: Plays three snaps on offense

Jones didn't have a target or reception but played three snaps on on offense in Sunday's loss at Atlanta.

He went out on one route. Jones played 11 snaps on special teams. He's unlikely to have a larger role on offense as a depth receiver and special-teams player. He may return to the practice squad when Jordan Addison returns from suspension in two weeks.

  • Myles Price WR | MIN

Vikings' Myles Price: Struggles in second game

Price averaged just 22.5 yards on six kick returns and averaged 2.0 yards on three punt returns in Monday's loss to Atlanta. He also lost a fumble on a punt return.

Price looked like a potential star returner in Week 1 as he averaged 17 yards per punt return, but he looked like a cut candidate in Week 2 with underwhelming returns and a lost fumble.

  • Adam Thielen WR | PIT

Vikings' Adam Thielen: Two receptions in loss

Thielen had two receptions for 26 yards on three targets in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

Thielen started in a three-receiver set on offense and saw a slight increase in both targets (one last week) and snaps (38 of the offense's 47 snaps). He still saw fewer targets than Jalen Nailor (five) and ran fewer routes (30 to 27), but the gap was closer than Week 1. While Thielen's usage improved slightly, the passing offense may be limited by J.J. McCarthy's erratic play, and his role could decrease in two weeks when Jordan Addison returns from a three-game suspension.

  • Jaguars' Brian Thomas: Played through wrist injury Week 2

Jaguars coach Liam Coen said Monday that Thomas entered Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Bengals nursing a wrist injury, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Thomas wasn't listed on Jacksonville's injury report leading up to Sunday's loss, so his wrist injury could have been sustained over the weekend. An injury would somewhat explain Thomas' inefficiency versus Cincinnati, as he secured just four of 12 targets for 49 yards during the narrow loss and at times seemed to visibly shy away from contact. Coen said Thomas "knows he needs to have a great week of practice," per Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville radio, so fantasy managers will need to monitor whether the Year 2 wideout is listed on Wednesday's first injury report of Week 3 ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Texans.

  • Falcons' Ray-Ray McCloud: Non-factor during SNF

McCloud recorded zero receptions on two targets during Sunday's 22-6 win over the Vikings.

After playing 73 percent of Atlanta's offensive snaps in Week 1, McCloud was on the field for only 23 percent during Sunday Night Football. There were multiple factors in McCloud's diminished role. Darnell Mooney made his season debut against Minnesota after missing Week 1 due to a shoulder injury, which pushed McCloud down the depth chart. Plus, the Falcons focused more on the run during Sunday's defensive-dominated game, as QB Michael Penix threw only 21 times in Week 2 compared to 42 attempts in Week 1. Drake London, Mooney, Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson will demand targets weekly, so if the Falcons are throwing it fewer than 25 times per game, it'll be difficult for McCloud to deliver consistent production.
