  • Lane Johnson OT | PHI

Eagles' Lane Johnson: Retired, but likely to remain on roster

The Eagles are expected to keep Johnson (personal) on the 53-man roster for the remainder of the season, even though he announced his retirement Tuesday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

Placing Johnson on the reserve/retired list would carry burdensome salary-cap implications for the Eagles, who appear content to essentially move forward with a 52-man roster before processing his move to the list after June 1 to spread out his cap hit over two years and maintain more financial flexibility. The Eagles are expected to list Johnson as inactive for most of their remaining games, but because of the volume of injured players on the roster in Week 5, he'll technically be active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London despite not being with the team, per Berman.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: 'Real chance' at Week 6 return

Jackson (ankle), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, has a "real chance" to return to action next week against Cleveland, pending how he responds to rehab, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jackson didn't practice in an fashion this week after he was sidelined for the entire second half of last Sunday's win over the Titans, but the Ravens remain optimistic that his ankle injury is a short-term concern. Though Tyler Huntley will get the starting nod in place of Jackson against Atlanta, Rapoport notes that the Ravens' franchise quarterback has been "in the building early working crazy to get himself back on the field" this week. Assuming the rehab work Jackson has put in translates into him returning to practice at some point next week, he should be able to meet his goal of playing after a one-game absence.

  • Caleb Williams QB | CHI

Bears' Caleb Williams: Eyeing Week 6 return

Williams (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Green Bay but isn't expected to suit up, is "pushing to play" Week 6 against the Falcons, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Back on Monday, head coach Ben Johnson announced that Tyson Bagent would start against the Packers, but the Bears elected not to rule Williams out for Week 5 entirely. Williams -- who has missed the Bears' last two games due to a Grade 2 right hamstring strain -- made a surprise return to practice Friday as a limited participant before he was given a questionable tag heading into the weekend. While he still isn't expected to be anything more than an emergency No. 3 quarterback behind Bagent and Case Keenum in Week 5, Williams' return to practice gives him a decent shot at returning to the starting role against Atlanta.

  • Carnell Tate WR | TEN

Titans' Carnell Tate: Expected to play Sunday

Tate (back), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans, is "definitely trending" toward playing, a source tells Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.

After a breakout Week 4 performance in a loss to Baltimore (nine catches for 145 yards on 12 targets), Tate has been slowed by a back injury in Week 5. Tate was limited in practices Thursday and Friday, but head coach Robert Saleh said following the latter session that the Titans anticipated that the rookie wideout would be ready to go for Sunday. Tate still looks to be in a good spot on the health front heading into Sunday's game, with official confirmation on his status set to arrive when Tennessee posts its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Eric Murray S | JAC

Jaguars' Eric Murray: Not suiting up in London

Murray (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles in London.

Murray took a doubtful designation into the weekend after managing a pair of limited practices Thursday and Friday, but he'll ultimately sit out against Philadelphia after he was unable to clear all five steps of the concussion protocol. With Murray sidelined for Week 5, Rayuan Lane is likely to take his spot as a starter in the secondary.

  • Eagles' Jonathan Greenard: Not playing in London

Greenard (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London.

Greenard will be sidelined for the London game after an ankle injury prevented him from practicing all week. After being acquired from the Vikings in April and immediately signing a four-year, $98 million extension with the Eagles, Greenard has played in two of the Eagles' first five games and has contributed just one tackle to go with one forced fumble.

  • Jordan Addison WR | MIN

Vikings' Jordan Addison: Pregame workout to determine availability

Addison (hamstring) will work out pregame before the Vikings make a call on his availability for Sunday's contest in New Orleans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Addison tended to hamstring soreness this week that didn't allow him to practice Wednesday before he logged a pair of limited sessions to cap Week 5 prep. Both he and fellow WR Justin Jefferson (ankle) entered the weekend listed as questionable, and the statuses of both players will be determined by how each one looks on the field beforehand. Addison's status will become known approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Vikings' Justin Jefferson: Listed questionable for Sunday

Jefferson (ankle) will go through a pregame workout before the Vikings make a decision on his availability for Sunday's contest at New Orleans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jefferson hasn't played a snap since injuring his left ankle in the second quarter of a Week 3 win at Tampa Bay, but he relayed to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com on Wednesday that he was determined to suit up for a game in his home state of Louisiana. Limited practices Wednesday through Friday left Jefferson questionable for Week 5 action, and the upcoming workout will determine whether or not he's included among Minnesota's inactives about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. The same cane be said for fellow WR Jordan Addison (hamstring), which will leave the receiving corps particularly short-handed if both of them are sidelined.

  • Zay Flowers WR | BAL

Ravens' Zay Flowers: Expected to play Sunday night

Flowers (foot) is slated to play in Sunday night's game in Atlanta, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Flowers swapped out his previous hamstring injury for a foot issue this week, which limited him Wednesday through Friday and left him questionable for Sunday. His status for Week 5 will be confirmed approximately 90 minutes before an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff, and if he suits up, he'll be the preferred No. 1 pass catcher for QB Tyler Huntley, who is subbing in for an absent Lamar Jackson (ankle). That may result in a reduced target count for Flowers if the Ravens lean more on the run, but he's still put together an 18-352-2 line on 22 targets through parts of three contests this season.

  • Keenan Allen WR | IND

Colts' Keenan Allen: Expected to suit up Sunday

Allen (groin) is expected to play Sunday against the Steelers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.

A full practice Friday was promising for Allen's prospects of suiting up against the Steelers, and it appears he will be able to give it a go. His status for Week 5 will officially be revealed when the Colts release their inactives 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff
