Johnson (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Johnson has missed each of the Bills' last two games but appears to be nearing a return to action. With Christian Benford (groin) also limited in practice Wednesday, Buffalo could get both cornerbacks back to team up with first-round rookie Maxwell Hairston and veteran Tre'Davious White at the position.

Thompson (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Thompson has missed two consecutive games with his hamstring injury, but getting in a limited practice Wednesday would suggest he has a chance to return this week versus Tampa Bay. Terrel Bernard and Matt Milano are healthy and soaked up the vast majority of the snaps at linebacker Week 10 against Miami.

Tremayne (hip) practiced in full Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Tremayne was held out of Sunday's loss to the Saints even after logging a full practice Friday. He should be ready to return in Week 11 against Atlanta, given that he turned in another full session.

Benford (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Benford was inactive for last Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, missing his first game of the season. In his absence, Maxwell Hairston, Tre'Davious White and Cam Lewis dominated cornerback snaps, with Ja'Marcus Ingram seeing 11 defensive snaps as the fourth corner. A limited start to the practice week for Bedford would seem to suggest he has a chance to return this week against Tampa Bay.

Head coach Dave Canales said Wednesday that Wallace is considered week-to-week due to a shoulder injury, and the second-year linebacker has been ruled out for Sunday's NFC South tilt against the Falcons, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Wallace may have picked up the injury during the Panthers' Week 10 loss to the Saints, when he logged four combined tackles, including 1.0 sacks. It's not clear whether the injury is severe enough for him to be a candidate for injured reserve, but for now, he'll focus on progressing enough in his recovery to return for Week 12 against the 49ers on Monday, Nov. 24. Third-year pro Claudin Cherelus will likely step into a starting role at inside linebacker alongside Christian Rozeboom for as long as Wallace is sidelined.

Coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that Humphrey (finger) will be out for Sunday's game against the Browns, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.

Per the Ravens, Harbaugh also said Wednesday, "Hopefully, in the next week, he'll be back." Humphrey recently underwent a pin procedure to address the finger injury he suffered in Week 10 at Minnesota, and he'll have to miss at least one game as he recovers. His absence could open the door for Keyon Martin to see an expanded role as a slot corner in Week 11.

Strange (hip) was limited in his return to practice Wednesday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Meanwhile, fellow TE Hunter Long (hip/knee) -- who was inactive in Week 10 -- was unable to practice Wednesday. Strange now has two more chances to upgrade his participation level before the Jaguars post injury designations ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers. In any case, Strange would need to be activated from IR by Saturday afternoon in order to have a chance to see his first game action since Oct.6. Prior to being sidelined, Strange recorded a 20-204-0 receiving line line on 24 targets in five contests.

Thomas (concussion) has been ruled out for the Jets matchup versus the Patriots on Thursday.

Thomas remains in the league's concussion protocol after sustaining a concussion in the Week 10 win over the Browns. In the 21-year-old's absence, Qwan'tez Stiggers could see increased playing time against New England.

Umanmielen was not on Carolina's injury report Wednesday.

Umanmielen suffered a groin injury in Sunday's loss to the Saints and was ultimately unable to play in the second half. That he avoided any additional time on the injury report suggests Umanmielen will be ready to suit up in Week 11 against the Falcons.

Bryant (neck/shoulder) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, the Texans' official site reports.

It was a busy news day for Houston's tight ends. In addition to Bryant sitting out, starting TE Dalton Schultz (shoulder) was unable to go, and Cade Stover (foot) was designated to return and practiced for the first time since breaking his foot in the season opener.
