Ezeiruaku recorded four tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's win over the Commanders.

The 2025 second-round pick had been getting fairly consistent pressure through the first six weeks of the season, but Sunday's sack of Marcus Mariota was his first as a pro. Ezeiruaku has collected 16 tackles (11 solo) and a forced fumble in addition to the sack through seven games to begin his NFL career.

The 2020 first-round pick from Auburn was one of five Panthers to sack a Jets quarterback, taking down both Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields during Sunday's win. After playing just one game in 2024 due to a knee injury, Brown has returned to his usual form to begin Carolina's 2025 campaign. He's been a large part of the team's defensive success, recording 26 total tackles, including 3.0 sacks, and five passes defended over the first seven games. Expect Brown to remain an integral part of the Panthers' defensive game plan in Week 8, when the Bills travel to Carolina.

The veteran edge rusher made his first real impact in four games as a Cowboy, with his sack being his first of the season. Clowney is filling a rotational role in a Dallas pass rush that lacks a true alpha with Micah Parsons now in Green Bay, but the unit racked up 4.0 sacks in Sunday's win and has 10 in the last three contests.

Horn recorded one assisted tackle and two interceptions in Sunday's 13-6 win over the Jets.

Horn took full advantage of a more aggressive Jets' passing attack in Sunday's win, picking off Tyrod Taylor twice in the second half. The South Carolina product continues to prove why he's one of the league's highest-paid cornerbacks, having now tallied 10 total tackles and three interceptions across the team's first seven games. He's expected to continue causing problems for opposing quarterbacks in the Week 8 matchup against the Bills.

James recorded a sack among his nine tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 44-22 win over the Commanders.

The rookie linebacker tied Kenneth Murray for the team lead in tackles, and James also added his first career NFL sack. Jack Sanborn was back in action after a two-game absence due to a concussion but was limited to special-teams duties, while James was off the field for only one of 67 defensive snaps. Over three games since moving into the starting lineup, James has erupted for 35 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
