Downs (calf) was spotted on the field participating in Tuesday's practice, Jake Arthur of Roundtable.io reports.

Downs missed some practice time last week with what he termed as a "very minor" calf injury. The Colts will release their first Week 1 injury report Sept. 9, and if his activity Tuesday is any indication, Downs could be off the report entirely as the team prepares for its season opener against the Ravens.

The Texans signed Jordan to their practice squad Monday.

A sixth-round pick in 2024, Jordan has spent his entire three-year career in the Texans organization, despite having been waived on three occasions. He spent most of his first two seasons on the practice squad and didn't make his NFL debut until Week 15 of the 2025 campaign, when he ran for 101 yards on 15 carries and added two receptions for 17 yards in a win over the Cardinals. Jordan received playing time in the remaining three contests of the regular season, churning out 92 yards on 28 carries to go with five catches for 17 yards, but he went unused during the Texans' two-game playoff run. After he was unable to win a spot on the roster coming out of the preseason, Jordan will likely rank as the Texans' top choice to receive a promotion from the practice squad if David Montgomery or Woody Marks miss time at any point in 2026.

The Texans signed Kelly to their practice squad Monday.

A second-year wideout from Texas Tech, Kelly is still waiting to make his NFL debut. After joining Houston on a reserve/future contract in January, Kelly was unable to make enough of an impression during training camp and the preseason to secure a spot on the roster, but the Texans will keep him around in the organization as a member of the practice squad.

The Texans signed Sobkowicz to their practice squad Monday.

An undrafted rookie wideout out of Illinois State, Sobkowicz faced long odds to make the Texans' Week 1 roster, but he at least showed enough during training camp and the preseason to stick around through final roster cutdowns. After going unclaimed on waivers, Sobkowicz has elected to stick around in the Texans' organization as one of four receivers on the practice squad.

The Texans signed Whittington to their practice squad Monday.

After signing with the Texans in May as an undrafted rookie out of Oregon, Whittington took part in training camp and the preseason, but was unable to secure a spot on the final roster heading into Week 1. Though Whittington will stick around in the organization, Jawhar Jordan will likely rank as the Texans' preferred choice to elevate to the roster if the team's depth in the backfield gets tested at any point.

The Texans signed Bond to their practice squad Monday.

The rookie sixth-round pick out of Boston College was unable to secure a spot on the Texans' 53-man roster coming out of training camp, but after clearing waivers, he'll end up sticking around in the organization. The Texans have also added fellow receivers Mitchell Tinsley, Josh Kelly and Daniel Sobkowicz on the practice squad, so Bond may not necessarily rank as the top choice to get elevated to the roster if Houston requires another wideout in any given week.

The Commanders re-signed Tuttle on Monday.

Tuttle was part of the Commanders' final roster cuts Sunday, but the team was able to reopen a spot for him a day later after placing offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (triceps) on injured reserve. The 30-year-old defensive tackle previously spent time with the Titans and Commanders in 2025, appearing in 12 games while logging 15 tackles.

The Commanders re-signed Moreau on Monday.

Moreau was part of the Commanders' final roster cuts Sunday, but the team was able to reopen a spot for him a day later after placing defensive tackle Jer'Zhan Newton (pectoral) on injured reserve. The 32-year-old cornerback had previously spent the 2025 season with the Vikings, appearing in 11 games and logging 17 tackles and two passes defensed.

Tinsley signed with Houston's practice squad Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

The fourth-year wideout played in all 17 games for the Bengals in 2025, stringing together an 8-116-2 line on 24 targets while handling a depth role in the receiving corps. Tinsley was unable to win a spot on the Bengals' roster coming out of training camp, but he could have a clearer path to seeing playing time in Houston at some point in 2026 with Jayden Higgins (knee) out for the season and Tank Dell (knee) set to miss at least the team's first four games.

Flowers, who is recovering from a lower-body injury, is expected to return to full practice next week and be available for the Ravens' Sept. 13 season opener versus the Colts, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports.

Flowers sustained a left quadriceps bruise in an Aug. 8 practice, but he returned to the field a few days later. The wideout missed some practices last week as well, though the Ravens haven't indicated whether that was related to the prior quad issue. Whatever the case, Flowers' injury or injuries never seemed to be a major concern. He should be ready to handle a high-volume role in the Baltimore passing attack in Week 1.
