  • Evan Hull RB | ARI

Evan Hull: Signs with Arizona's practice squad

Hull signed a contract with the Cardinals to join the practice squad Monday, Zach Gershman of the team's official website reports.

Hull spent part of training camp with Houston before being cut in early August. He was claimed by Arizona shortly thereafter and impressed during the preseason slate, rushing 38 times for 189 yards and two touchdowns while catching all four of his targets for 29 yards over four games. Hull will now provide depth on the practice squad and could see time on the 53-man roster at some point if the Cardinals experience injuries in the backfield.

  • Jack Velling TE | ATL

Jack Velling: Signs with Atlanta's practice squad

The Falcons signed Velling to the practice squad Monday, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports.

Velling was waived by the Falcons on Sunday. The tight end cleared waivers and has now rejoined the team. The undrafted free agent out of Michigan State may get an opportunity to play in his first NFL game if Kyle Pitts, Charlie Woerner or Austin Hooper miss any time due to injury in 2026.

  • Tyler Goodson RB | DAL

Tyler Goodson: Signs with practice squad

Goodson signed with the Falcons' practice squad Monday, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports.

The running back was let go by the team Sunday. Goodson carried the ball nine times for 24 yards last season for Indianapolis, and he also played on 127 special-teams snaps.

  • Patriots' Bryce Baringer: Moved to IR

The Patriots placed Baringer (undisclosed) on injured reserve Monday.

Baringer suffered an injury during the Patriots' 24-21 preseason win over the Eagles and has not practiced since the incident. The punter will now miss the first four games of the regular season on IR before he is eligible to return to the active roster, though it's possible he works out an injury settlement with the team between now and Week 5. The Patriots signed punter Mitch Wishnowsky to the practice squad Monday, and he's expected to fill in during Baringer's absence.

  • Patriots' Khalil Jacobs: Placed on injured reserve

The Patriots placed Jacobs (undisclosed) on injured reserve Monday.

Jacobs participated in the first two preseason games for the Patriots before succumbing to injury, accumulating eight tackles (four solo). The linebacker will now miss at least the first four games of the regular season on IR before he is eligible to return to the active roster, though it's possible he works out an injury settlement with the team between now and Week 5. While Jacobs is sidelined, Darius Muasau will likely be the first depth option behind starting inside linebackers Christian Elliss and Robert Spillane.

  • Commanders' T.J. Maguranyanga: Lands on injured reserve

Maguranyanga (undisclosed) reverted to the Commanders' injured reserve Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

It's not clear what type of issue Maguranyanga is dealing with, but his reversion to IR means he's slated to sit out all of the 2026 season. However, if he works out an injury settlement with Washington he'd be eligible to suit up during the campaign.

  • Ben Brown C | NE

Ben Brown: Released by New England

The Patriots released Brown on Monday.

Brown signed a two-year extension with the Patriots in late December. The reserve offensive lineman picked up an injury in the team's preseason opener that sidelined him for the remainder of training camp. Brown is now a free agent, and his lack of an injury designation on release means he is fully healthy and capable of signing with another franchise.

  • Curtis Jacobs LB | WAS

Commanders' Curtis Jacobs: Heads to injured reserve

Jacobs (undisclosed) reverted to Washington's injured reserve Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Jacobs was waived/injured Sunday due to an undisclosed issue. He cleared waivers and subsequently reverted to IR. That means Jacobs will need to sit out the entire 2026 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Commanders.

  • Amari Kight OT | SEA

Seahawks' Amari Kight: Reverts to IR

Kight (undisclosed) reverted to the Seahawks' injured-reserve list Monday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.

The offensive tackle was waived/injured Sunday. Kight will need to reach an injury settlement with Seattle to have a chance to play in 2026.

  • Buccaneers' Xavier Williams: Reverts to Tampa Bay IR

Williams (hip) reverted to the Buccaneers' injured-reserve list Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Williams suffered a hip injury in the Buccaneers' preseason finale against the Jaguars last Friday. The safety was waived with an injury designation Sunday and went unclaimed. The 23-year-old will now spend the entirety of his rookie season on injured reserve unless he is waived with an injury settlement.
