Njoku logged three offensive snaps in Thursday's preseason loss to the Rams and didn't register any statistical output.

Njoku worked behind starter Charlie Kolar and ahead of Oronde Gadsden in the contest. During the exhibition slate, Kolar and starting QB Justin Herbert were on the field together for six snaps, while Njoku logged five snaps with Herbert and Gadsden registered just one. That could be an indication of the pecking order during the regular season as well, as Kolar is considered the superior blocker of the trio and Gadsden the top pass catcher, with Njoku being competent in both areas.

Singletary isn't in uniform ahead of Friday's preseason contest against the Jets, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.

The same can be said for No. 1 RB Cam Skattebo, while position mates Tyrone Tracy and Najee Harris are candidates to get some run in the Giants' exhibition finale. The rest would seem to indicate Singletary's roster spot is secure, but it's not exactly clear how things will shake out behind Cam Skattebo with Harris in the mix.

Mitchell (undisclosed) did not play in Thursday's 20-18 preseason loss to the Rams.

Mitchell experienced a setback for an unspecified injury in practice earlier in the week, so his absence from Thursday's preseason finale was likely a precautionary move. The nature and severity of Mitchell's injury is not clear, but there's been no indication that he's in danger of missing the Chargers' Week 1 clash against the Cardinals on Sunday, Sept. 13. The fourth-year pro inked a two-year contract with the Chargers in March after spending the first three years of his NFL career with the Ravens. He's expected to work in rotation with Kimani Vidal behind starting running back Omarion Hampton.

Paul (undisclosed) reverted to the Seahawks' injured reserve list Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.

The Seahawks waived Paul with an injury designation Thursday, and he went unclaimed throughout the waiver process. The linebacker will now miss the entirety of the 2026 season on injured reserve unless he reached an injury settlement with the club.

Nabers (knee) isn't suited up for Friday's preseason game versus the Jets, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Nabers has been an active participant during most of training camp and finally ditched the non-contact red jersey at Monday's practice, but he won't make an appearance during exhibition season as he continues to put last season's torn right ACL further in the rearview mirror. He'll continue to ramp up in advance of a Week 1 matchup with the Cowboys on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The Browns waived Evans on Friday.

Evans was waived without an injury settlement. The cornerback seems to have fully recovered from the quadriceps injury he sustained in the Browns' second preseason contest against the Bears. The 23-year-old will now be subject to a waiver period that extends through Sunday's cutdown day into Monday. If Evans goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise's 53-man roster or practice squad.

Gadsden participated in eight offensive snaps and did not record any statistics otherwise in Thursday's preseason loss to the Rams.

For the second straight week, Gadsden worked in a reserve role behind Charlie Kolar and David Njoku. While snap counts during preseason play aren't generally reflective of what will happen during the regular season, it could be telling that Gadsden saw only one offensive snap with Justin Herbert on the field during the exhibition slate while fellow tight ends Charlie Kolar and David Njoku logged six and five snaps, respectively, in that scenario. Despite Gadsden's promising rookie campaign last year, he could be looking at a reduced role behind Kolar and Njoku -- both of whom are regarded as better blockers -- in new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel's system.

Kolar caught his lone target for nine yards during the Chargers' 20-18 preseason loss to the Rams on Thursday.

Kolar worked as the Chargers' starting tight end Thursday, hauling in a nine-yard pass from Justin Herbert while playing five snaps (four on offense, one on special teams). Kolar, Oronde Gadsden and David Njoku are the top tight ends on the Chargers depth chart, but it's been Kolar who has been working more with the first-team offense during training camp. Still, Kolar's offensive output figures to be minimal this year, given that his 10 catches across 17 regular-season games with the Ravens last year was a career high for the 2022 fourth-rounder.

Jones completed one of his five pass attempts for seven yards in Thursday night's preseason finale against the Raiders.

Jones played just eight offensive snaps in the contest, marking a quick end to the preseason for the veteran backup. Despite the poor outing, Jones is still the most likely No. 2 option at quarterback behind starter Brock Purdy. With Kurtis Rourke (ribs) dealing with an injury, Adrian Martinez will likely fill out the QB room as the team heads into Sunday's cutdown day.

Bech caught his sole target for five yards in Thursday night's preseason finale against the 49ers.

Bech played 20 offensive snaps in the contest, garnering attention just one time. The 2025 second-rounder is in a battle for starting wide receiver snaps. With Sunday's cutdown day rapidly approaching, the Raiders likely already know whether Bech, Dont'e Thornton, Dareke Young or Malik Benson will take on the No. 3 wide receiver role for the Week 1 matchup against the Dolphins.
