  • Tyler Warren TE | IND

Colts' Tyler Warren: Cleared to play Sunday

Warren (toe) no longer carries an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Titans.

After missing Wednesday's practice, Warren was limited during Thursday and Friday's sessions before heading into the weekend listed as questionable. Now that the Week 3 availability of the 2025 first-rounder has been confirmed, barring any workload restrictions or in-game setbacks, Warren should remain a key target for QB Daniel Jones on Sunday. The 6-foot-6, 256-pounder has been targeted a team-high 16 times through his first two regular-season games, resulting in an 11-155-0 receiving line in that span.

  • Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Won't play Sunday

Worthy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Giants.

Worthy will not travel with the team for the contest, so his return to action is on hold for now. In his continued absence, Hollywood Brown, Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster are once again slated to see added WR snaps for the Chiefs, while Jalen Royals (knee, questionable) could join the mix as well in Week 3.

  • Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Not expected to play Sunday

Worthy (shoulder) isn't expected to play Sunday night against the Giants, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.

Though Worthy was able to practice in a limited fashion this week, it appears as though the Chiefs are inclined to err on the side of caution with the wideout. Assuming he is ruled inactive Sunday, Hollywood Brown, Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster would continue to see added WR snaps in Week 3, with Jalen Royals (knee, questionable) possibly joining the mix as well.

  • J.J. McCarthy QB | NYG

Vikings' J.J. McCarthy: Out of walking boot

McCarthy (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals, but he was without a walking boot in the locker room Friday, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. "We're kind of through the initial wave of that, as far as getting the swelling down and all those things," said head coach Kevin O'Connell.

McCarthy suffered a right high-ankle sprain in last week's loss to Atlanta, and reports have him missing 2-to-4 weeks. He won't be placed on injured reserve, according to the Pioneer Press, but the timetable for his return is uncertain. While his walking without a boot on his ankle is an encouraging sign, he could be held out until Week 7 if the team wants to be cautious, with the Vikings playing overseas Weeks 4 (Sept. 28 versus the Steelers in Dublin) and 5 (Oct. 5 versus the Browns in London) before heading into a bye. It's also possible he will play earlier if he's able to return to practice as early as next week.

  • Harrison Smith FS | MIN

Vikings' Harrison Smith: Expected to play Sunday

Smith (illness) remains listed as questionable but is expected to be available to play Sunday against the Bengals, barring a last-minute setback, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.

Smith, who has missed the Vikings' first two games while recovering from a personal health issue, practiced in a limited fashion this week. Assuming Smith is active Sunday, his addition would provide a boost in the secondary and could result in either Josh Metellus or Theo Jackson losing out on snaps. Over 16 appearances in 2024, Smith recorded 87 tackles and three interceptions.

  • Matt Milano OLB | BUF

Bills' Matt Milano: No IR move yet

Coach Sean McDermott said Friday that the team has chosen not to place Milano, who missed Thursday's win over the Dolphins with a pectoral injury, on IR, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.

McDermott said Milano "is improving" and he'll now have an extra three days off ahead of Buffalo's Week 4 matchup against the Saints. Dorian Williams, who posted six tackles Thursday and has proven to be a capable backup for his injury-prone teammate, stands to see more time until Milano is back to 100 percent.

  • Cowboys' Jadeveon Clowney: Could jump right in

Clowney said after Friday's practice that he's ready to play Sunday against the Bears, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports. Executive vice president Stephen Jones suggested Friday on 105.3 The Fan that Dallas might ramp up the 32-year-old a little more slowly, however. "After practice and talking about it today it's probably a final game-time decision," Jones said. "But leaning toward him probably not playing this week."

We'll see the veteran pass rusher can make his push to play this week against the Bears. He didn't agree to a deal with the Cowboys until after a Week 2 overtime win over the Giants, but he's used to jumping right into action after signing midseason -- Clowney previously skipped training camp before signing deals with the Titans (2020), Browns (2021) and Ravens (2023), and in each case he played right away. Clowney was also arrested last week in South Carolina over a parking dispute, but that isn't likely to affect his availability for Week 3.

  • Raiders' Jackson Powers-Johnson: Set to face Commanders

Powers-Johnson does not have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against the Commanders.

Powers-Johnson missed the Raiders' Week 2 matchup against the Chargers while in concussion protocol. He practiced in full both Thursday and Friday and will be set to start at right guard.

  • Siran Neal DB | SF

49ers' Siran Neal: Clears concussion protocol

Neal does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Neal entered concussion protocol in Week 2 against the Saints. He practiced in full Friday, and his lack of a designation suggests he has passed the league's protocol. Neal should be set for a role on special teams.

  • 49ers' Spencer Burford: Ruled out for Week 3

Burford (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Burford suffered the knee injury in Week 2 against the Saints. He didn't practice in any capacity during the week, so his timeline for a return is unclear.
