Wisniewski (hamstring) did not participate in Saturday's practice session, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

It is unclear when Wisniewski picked up the hamstring issue, but it does not help his case as the safety attempts to climb the depth chart. The rookie seventh-rounder was selected for his athleticism. At 6-foot-3, 219 pounds, Wisniewski is perfectly built to defend the run. The issue comes in NFL-level processing speed and consistency, and if the strong safety is absent from practice, he will be unable to develop or display those traits.

The Steelers signed Jenkins to a contract Saturday, Nick Farabaugh of PennLive.com reports.

Jenkins' production has been consistently falling season by season, but the 10-year veteran brings experience and versatility that cannot be ignored. The safety will likely fulfill more of a leadership role as a depth addition, with DeShon Elliott and Jaquan Brisker handling most of the starting reps.

Williams (knee) did not participate in Saturday's practice session, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

Williams reportedly suffered a knee contusion during Thursday's session and needed to be helped off the field, Berman stated. Depending on the severity of the contusion, Williams could be back in a few days or out for a significant amount of time.

The Lions signed White to a one-year contract Saturday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.

White participated in all 17 regular-season games for the Raiders last year, producing 174 total tackles (including 2.5 sacks), three passes defensed (including one interception) and a forced fumble. The linebacker was ranked third in the NFL in tackles as well. White will provide a strong veteran presence to a Lions linebacker corps that has suffered consistent injuries over the past few seasons.

Allen was diagnosed with a shin bruise on his left leg that he suffered during Saturday's training camp practice, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

It's a best-case scenario for the rookie fifth-rounder, who had to be carted off the field after sustaining the injury on a special teams drill. Per Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star, the Chiefs consider Allen day-to-day, which puts the young wideout on track to be available for the team's preseason opener against the Rams on Saturday, Aug. 15.

White (groin) left Saturday's practice early, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

White suffered adductor issues during the session, and it is unclear how serious or persistent the issue is. The 27-year-old participated in 14 regular-season games last season between the Patriots and 49ers, logging 18 tackles (seven solo), including 1.5 sacks. If the outside linebacker must miss time, Sam Okuayinonu and KJ Henry may see more opportunities due to a diminished linebacker corps.

Height (elbow) did not participate in Saturday's practice session, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

The third-round rookie out of Texas Tech has not yet had a chance to prove himself in training camp. Height was carted off the field on Monday due to cramps and has now sustained an elbow issue. If the outside linebacker cannot stay on the field, it will be hard for him to pass Sam Okuayinonu on the depth chart before the start of the regular season.

Thompson (hip) did not participate in Saturday's practice session, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Thompson overcame a pectoral injury to participate in Wednesday's first training camp session, but has since suffered another injury. If the hip issue requires the starting strong safety to miss significant time, P.J. Locke will likely see more opportunities for reps with the starting secondary.

Sample (knee) missed Saturday's practice session, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.

Sample overcame an oblique injury in a short two-week span during the 2025 season, so it is likely the outside linebacker can recover quickly from this knee setback. The 49ers' depth option is battle-tested from his time on the Bengals and will be a strong "break glass" option if the team's infamous injury bug persists in 2026.

Jacas (knee) was a limited participant in Saturday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Jacas was seen working with coach Mike Vrabel 1-on-1 on punt-protection techniques. The rookie second-rounder out of Illinois still resides on the active/non-football injury list due to a knee issue he underwent surgery after being drafted to fix. Limited work in training camp means there is a good chance Jacas is ready for the regular season and can contribute to the Patriots' defense as a rotational outside linebacker.
