  • Keon Coleman WR | BUF

Bills' Keon Coleman: Has Joe Brady's support

Bills head coach Joe Brady said Tuesday that he advocated for Coleman this offseason and expects him to "be a part of our offense" in 2026, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.

"I made sure when I got the job, [Coleman] knew he was going to be here and be a part of our offense," said Brady. It's safe to assume Coleman's presence in Buffalo wasn't a sticking point in negotiations when Brady was promoted from offensive coordinator to head coach. Coleman turned 23 on May 17, making him younger than many rookies in the incoming class, but he frankly hasn't shown much on the field to hint at living up to his draft capital (33rd overall in 2024). Bills GM Brandon Beane said in April that he refuted trade offers and now wants to "hit the reset button" on Coleman, who notoriously had a rocky relationship with former head coach Sean McDermott. While Brady called plays for most of those games in which Coleman failed to make an impact, Brady sounds open to letting the 23-year-old compete for a top-three job at wide receiver again. If not Coleman, the Bills have fourth-round pick Skyler Bell and sixth-year pro Joshua Palmer (ankle) as the top candidates for WR snaps behind newcomer DJ Moore and slot specialist Khalil Shakir.

  • Falcons' Michael Penix: Taking part in 7-on-7s

Penix (knee) will participate in 7-on-7s and individual drills Tuesday, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

Practices in May are no-contact, and mostly at less than full speed. It's nonetheless a good sign for Penix to be on the field in any fashion less than six months removed from surgery to repair the third ACL tear of his football career. Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski hinted at a return to full-team drills in the not-so-distant future, but that doesn't necessarily mean Penix will be cleared for contact during training camp in late July. Stefanski also mentioned that the team will be "very intentional" about splitting reps between Penix and Tua Tagovailoa, per Tori McElhaney of the team's official site. The Falcons have made it clear they signed Tagovailoa to compete for the starting job, even if Penix clears all medical hurdles long before Week 1.

  • Montrell Johnson: Waived by Carolina

The Panthers waived Johnson (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Johnson signed a reserve/future contract with Carolina in January after signing to the team's practice squad in December. With the waived/injured designation, the 23-year-old will revert to Carolina's injured reserve Tuesday.

  • Bryce Pierre TE | CAR

    Bryce Pierre: Waived by Panthers

The Panthers waived Pierre (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Pierre signed a reserve/future contract with the Panthers in January after spending the 2025 season on the team's practice squad. With the waived/injured designation, the 25-year-old will revert to Carolina's injured reserve Tuesday.

  • Walter Nolen DT | ARI

Cardinals' Walter Nolen: Will not practice to begin OTAs

Nolen (knee) did not participate in the Cardinals' OTA on Monday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Nolen's absence for the start of OTAs comes after the 22-year-old suffered a non-contact knee injury in Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season. The second-year starter still faces an unclear timetable for his return, but time will tell if Nolen is ready for the start of the 2026 campaign.

  • Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Appears to be healthy

Overshown (concussion) is taking part in the Cowboys' offseason program, Joseph Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Overshown missed 12 games in 2025 after dealing with a lingering knee injury to begin the season and then sat out the Cowboys' final two contests with a concussion. The 25-year-old is expected to participate in his healthiest offseason since his rookie year and looks to build on his 28 tackles (15 solo) through six games in 2025.

  • Taysom Hill QB | NO

Taysom Hill: Unlikely to return to NOLA

Saints GM Mickey Loomis said Monday that the team has not offered Hill a contract to return to New Orleans, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.

It appears the team is moving on from the 35-year-old fan favorite. Hill has spent all nine seasons of his career with the Saints as a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none type of player who saw snaps at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end across 118 career regular-season games. The free agent hasn't drawn any known interest this offseason after appearing in 13 contests last regular season. He rushed 52 times for 114 yards and one touchdown, averaging a career-low 2.2 yards per carry after averaging at least 5.0 yards per attempt in each of his previous eight campaigns.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Decision coming soon

Saints GM Mickey Loomis said Monday that the team will make a decision on Kamara's (knee) future with the team in "the next week or two," Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Loomis was mum on the subject, saying the Saints are "just trying to see how he's going to fit in on our roster" while adding that Kamara has not been offered a revamped contract. Kamara will turn 31 years old this summer and has spent his entire nine-year career with New Orleans, but the Saints signed Travis Etienne to a four-year, $48 million deal over the offseason. Both Kamara ($12.25 million per year) and Etienne ($12 million) are two of the 10 highest-paid running backs in the league, making it hard to envision the Saints paying both of them big money in 2026. Kamara has previously hinted that he'd play only for the Saints or retire. He averaged a career-worst 3.6 yards per carry on 131 attempts last season, rushing for just one touchdown. A once-prolific pass catcher out of the backfield, Kamara also averaged a career-low 5.6 yards per reception in 2025.

  • Cardinals' Jacoby Brissett: Not present for voluntary OTAs

Brissett was not present for the start of voluntary OTAs on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The veteran quarterback has stayed away from the team this offseason, as he's seeking a raise for the 2026 campaign. Coming off a career year in 2025, which saw Brissett complete 315 of 485 passes (64.9 percent) for 3,366 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions, the 33-year-old is looking for more money and possibly more years on his contract. Brissett currently is scheduled to collect $5.44 million in 2026, which would put him 26th at the quarterback position. There's been no indication that Arizona is actively discussing a new deal with Brissett. The Cardinals are in a full-blown rebuild and used a third-round pick on Carson Beck last month after signing Gardner Minshew in free agency. Even if Brissett opens the season as Arizona's starter, there's a good chance Beck makes rookie-year starts.

  • Drew Allar QB | PIT

Steelers' Drew Allar: Participating on first day of OTAs

Allar (ankle) was the fourth quarterback through drills Monday on the first day of OTAs, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Recently signed veteran Aaron Rodgers took first-team reps, followed by Will Howard, Mason Rudolph and Allar. While Allar is starting at the bottom of the quarterback pecking order, it's nonetheless encouraging to see the rookie third-round pick on the field, which suggests that Allar has recovered from November surgery on a broken left ankle, which ended his final season at Penn State.
