Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Ahead of schedule in recovery
Darnold (glute) is ahead of schedule in his recovery and has a chance to practice ahead of Seattle's Week 3 road game against the Commanders, head coach Mike Macdonald said after Sunday's 31-7 victory over the Cardinals, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Macdonald added that "the timetable has shifted quite drastically" for Darnold's recovery. It sounds like Darnold has a chance to return as soon as next Sunday, though the Seahawks have little reason to rush his return with backup QB Drew Lock having led the team to a 2-0 record. Darnold's first step toward game action would be a return to practice, and his first chance to do so will come Wednesday.

Omarion Hampton RB | LAC
Chargers' Omarion Hampton: Mixed performance in Week 2 loss
Hampton rushed 23 times for 94 yards and a touchdown and brought in both targets for 21 yards in the Chargers' 26-14 loss to the Raiders on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Hampton put together a perfectly useful fantasy performance in the Chargers' alarming upset loss, spearheading Los Angeles' ground attack while handling a workhorse role. Hampton added a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, but his lost fumble in Raiders territory with 3:52 remaining in the game and the Bolts trying to erase a three-point deficit was a back-breaker, as it led to Las Vegas' game-clinching touchdown. Hampton has a rushing touchdown in each of the first two games of the new season but has a pair of lost fumbles as well. Nevertheless, the talented back will remain in the lead role for a Week 3 road showdown against the Bills next Sunday, a critical early-season contest for Jim Harbaugh's squad.

Tre Tucker WR | LV
Raiders' Tre Tucker: Pops off for 119 yards, TD in win
Tucker caught five of seven targets for 119 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 26-14 win over the Chargers on Sunday.
With Brock Bowers (knee) missing a second straight game to open the season, Tucker matched Ashton Jeanty with a team-high seven targets against Los Angeles, and the speedy wideout got free behind the defense for a 40-yard score to open the scoring in the second quarter. One of the more boom-or-bust receivers in the sport, Tucker now has seven grabs for 146 yards and the one touchdown on 11 targets through two games to begin the 2026 campaign. He'll be in position for another big performance next Sunday in the Superdome against the Saints.

Jayden Daniels QB | WAS
Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Coach confirms elbow dislocation
Daniels (elbow) suffered a dislocated left elbow but isn't dealing with a fracture, head coach Dan Quinn revealed after Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Cowboys, Tashan Reed of the Washington Post reports.
Daniels' injury is to the same left elbow that he dislocated in Week 9 of the 2025 season, which sidelined him for the next three games. He was hurt on the final play of the first half during Sunday's loss to Dallas and promptly ruled out for the remainder of the game. Daniels' arm bent at an awkward angle as he tried to brace himself while falling. Marcus Mariota threw for 111 yards and a touchdown after Daniels' exit, and Mariota is likely to start for the Commanders in Week 3 against the Seahawks.

Jeremiyah Love RB | ARI
Cardinals' Jeremiyah Love: Held in check versus Seattle
Love rushed nine times for 29 yards while catching all three of his targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 31-7 loss to Seattle.
Love and the rest of the Cardinals' offense mustered only a combined 151 total yards Sunday. The running back was able to reel in multiple catches for the second straight week to open the regular season, and he saw 12 touches to Tyler Allgeier's seven in the contest. Arizona will have another tough test with a road matchup against the 49ers (2-0) in Week 3, but Love figures to continue to separate from the pack as the Cardinals' clear No. 1 option at running back moving forward.

Derwin James FS | LAC
Chargers' Derwin James: Suffers broken pinky finger
James suffered a fractured left pinky finger in Sunday's loss to the Raiders, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
The star safety said Sunday that he'll play the remainder of the 2026 season with a cast, suggesting he doesn't plan to miss any game action moving forward. James recorded seven tackles (two solo) in the 26-14 loss to Las Vegas.

Trey McBride TE | ARI
Cardinals' Trey McBride: Finds paydirt in Week 2
McBride caught eight of nine targets for 41 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-7 loss to Seattle.
McBride was the lone bright spot for Arizona's offense, reeling in nearly half of the team's 95 total passing yards in the game. The tight end was able to find the end zone for a second straight contest to open the regular season, snagging a two-yard score from Jacoby Brissett on the opening play of the second quarter. McBride is coming off of one of the most dominant seasons for a tight end in NFL history, and he's now off to a hot start in 2026, catching 17 of 22 targets for 136 yards and two scores over the Cardinals' first two games.

Trey Smack K | GB
Packers' Trey Smack: Chips in game-winning FG
Smack made both of his field-goal attempts and went 2-for-2 on extra-point tries during the Packers' 20-17 overtime win over the Jets on Sunday.
Smack's 34-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter tied things up at 17-17 before the rookie sealed the game for the Packers with a 26-yard chip shot in overtime. The rookie sixth-rounder is off to a strong start to his NFL career, having gone 5-for-5 on field-goal tries and 3-for-4 on extra-point attempts across the first two games of the regular season.

Andres Borregales K | NE
Patriots' Andy Borregales: Misses 47-yard field goal in Week 2 win
Borregales went 2-for-3 on field-goal tries and made both of his extra-point attempts during the Patriots' 20-3 win over the Steelers on Sunday.
After a rather quiet Week 1 performance, Borregales was more involved in Sunday's win over Pittsburgh. He connected on a 30-yard field goal in the second quarter before missing a 47-yard try in the third, though Borregales bounced back by making a 45-yard FG later in the period. The second-year kicker has gone 3-for-4 on field-goal attempts and 3-for-3 on extra-point tries through the first two games of the 2026 regular season.

Jadarian Price RB | SEA
Seahawks' Jadarian Price: X-rays on chest negative
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said after Sunday's 31-7 win over the Cardinals that X-rays came back negative on Price's chest injury, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Price didn't check back in after being deemed questionable to return in the fourth quarter, though he managed to rejoin his teammates on the sideline, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times. Emanuel Wilson finished the game with a team-high 92 rushing yards on 21 carries, while Price posted 13 carries for 52 yards and caught one of two targets for eight yards prior to exiting. The Seahawks will post their next practice report Wednesday, when it will be known whether Price is operating with any limitations as the Seahawks begin prepping for a Week 3 road game at Washington.
