  • Hunter Luepke RB | DAL

Cowboys' Hunter Luepke: Clears concussion protocol

Luepke (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Luepke increased his practice participation over the course of Week 16 prep, and he has progressed enough to clear the league's concussion protocol and be available for Sunday's home tilt. The third-year fullback turned five touches into 30 yards during the Cowboys' Week 15 loss to the Vikings before leaving the game after sustaining a concussion.

  • Trevon Diggs CB | GB

Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Officially cleared for Week 16

Diggs (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Diggs was activated from injured reserve Saturday, and the sixth-year corner has been officially cleared to return Sunday from an eight-game absence due to a knee injury. His return is timely, given that DaRon Bland (foot - IR) has been shut down for the rest of the season and Caelen Carson (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game, which leaves Diggs and rookie Shavon Revel as the Cowboys' two starting outside cornerbacks.

  • Buccaneers' Connor Bazelak: Once again serving as emergency QB

Bazelak (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 16 game against Carolina and will be Tampa Bay's emergency third quarterback, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

This is a familiar role for Bazelak, who has been inactive as the Bucs' emergency quarterback each of the past four weeks. He's yet to make his NFL debut and can do so Sunday only if both Baker Mayfield and Teddy Bridgewater have to exit due to injury, illness or ejection.

  • Titans' Jalyn Armour-Davis: Cleared to return Week 16

Armour-Davis (Achilles) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Armour-Davis missed the Titans' last three games due to an Achilles injury but has been cleared to play Sunday after logging three consecutive limited practices during Week 16 prep. His return to outside corner means less defensive snaps in the secondary will be available for Marcus Harris.

  • Buccaneers' Sterling Shepard: Healthy scratch Week 16

Shepard (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Carolina, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Shepard had a big role in Tampa Bay's passing game early in the campaign while the team dealt with multiple injuries among its wide-receiver corps. However, the veteran wideout didn't log any offensive snaps last week against Atlanta, which coincided with both Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan returning to action after long absences. Now that the Bucs' wideout room is almost fully healthy, Shepard may not have a role for most contests.

  • Arden Key DE | IND

Titans' Arden Key: Cleared to play vs. Kansas City

Key (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Key was a late addition to Friday's injury report due to an illness, but he has recovered enough over the weekend to play in Sunday's home game. He has accumulated 13 tackles (five solo), including 2.5 sacks, in the five games since the Titans' Week 10 bye.

  • Jets' Justin Fields: Serving as emergency QB in Week 16

Fields (knee) is inactive as the Jets' emergency No. 3 quarterback for Sunday's game in New Orleans.

New York will go with Brady Cook as its starting quarterback for the second week in a row, after neither Tyrod Taylor (groin/knee) and Fields (knee) were available for last Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. Both Taylor and Fields took part in all three of the Jets' practices this week, but Taylor will get the nod as Cook's top backup after putting in a full session Friday, whereas Fields was limited in each practice. The Jets haven't indicated that Cook will retain the starting gig for Weeks 17 and 18, but a strong showing against New Orleans would bolster his odds of holding down the job for the rest of the season.

  • Dameon Pierce RB | PHI

Chiefs' Dameon Pierce: Inactive for Week 16

Pierce (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Pierce was signed to the Chiefs' active roster Saturday but will not suit up for Sunday's road tilt, as Kansas City rolls with a three-man backfield in Kareem Hunt, Isiah Pacheco and Brashard Smith. Pierce's next opportunity to play is Christmas Day against the Broncos.

  • Derius Davis WR | LAC

Chargers' Derius Davis: Inactive with ankle issue

Davis (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Davis will miss his second straight game due to a persistent ankle issue. The 25-year-old's absence means rookie KeAndre Lambert-Smith will likely take on a bigger role as a kick returner, with Ladd McConkey likely taking over punt return duties.

  • Gabe Davis WR | BUF

Bills' Gabe Davis: Inactive versus Cleveland

Davis is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.

The same applies to fellow WR Keon Coleman. Buffalo's Week 16 wide receiver corps will thus be comprised of Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Tyrell Shavers, Brandin Cooks and Mecole Hardman.
