  Josi (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Nick Kieser of 102.5 ESPN Nashville reports. Josi is week-to-week and will miss at least the rest of Nashville's road trip, which finishes in Boston on Tuesday. He has nine goals and 38 points through 53 games this season. The Predators recalled Spencer Stastney from AHL Milwaukee in a corresponding move.

Josi remains day-to-day, but a back-to-back against the Islanders and Rangers on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, won't make it easy for the blueliner to get back into the lineup right away. Josi is stuck in an 11-game goal drought during which he recorded 25 shots and four assists, including a pair with the man advantage.

Josi left Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Florida after he was hit by Sam Bennett in the second period. The 34-year-old Josi has nine goals and 38 points in 53 appearances in 2024-25. If Josi misses Thursday's tilt against Winnipeg, then Jake Livingstone will likely make his NHL season debut.

  Josi is being evaluated from an upper-body injury after he was hit by Sam Bennett in the second period of Tuesday's game versus the Panthers, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports. Josi initially stayed in the game, including playing on the power play after the hit, but the defenseman did not come back to the bench after the second intermission. The Predators have already lost a couple of blueliners -- Jeremy Lauzon (lower body) and Adam Wilsby (upper body) -- for the season, so any absence for Josi will stretch the team's defense even thinner. It also comes at a poor time, as the Predators host the Jets on Thursday.

  Josi notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Sabres. Josi has two helpers over his last three contests, and this was his first power-play point since Jan. 23. The defenseman is up to 37 points, 145 shots on net, 87 blocked shots and a minus-25 rating across 50 appearances. He's not been at his usual level in any area, but he's still a high-scoring option on the blue line for fantasy managers.
