  Shattenkirk recorded an assist in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 6. Shattenkirk was scratched for Game 5 on Tuesday, but he checked back in for Matt Grzelcyk in this contest. The helper was Shattenkirk's first point in the postseason to go with three shots on net, six hits and two blocked shots over five appearances. The 35-year-old blueliner is stuck on the third pairing, so he shouldn't be counted on to make significant contributions on offense.

The defenseman's playing time has been sparse lately -- he's suited up in just five of the team's last 13 contests, though he has four points in that span. The 35-year-old is up to six goals, 23 points, 75 shots on net, 84 blocked shots, 52 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 59 appearances. The Bruins will likely continue to rotate Parker Wotherspoon, Andrew Peeke and Shattenkirk through the third pairing to keep everyone fresh heading into the playoffs.

A healthy scratch for the last two games as the Bruins take a longer look at Andrew Peeke, Shattenkirk hasn't scored a goal since Jan. 2 -- a 25-game drought -- but he's been generous with helpers of late and has eight in his last nine contests. The 35-year-old blueliner also has 12 shots on net, 13 hits, 16 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating during that time.

The veteran blueliner helped set up Jesper Boqvist in the first period before feeding Mason Lohrei for a one-timer late in the third period for the game-winner. Shattenkirk has four points, all assists, in his last five games, but on the season the 35-year-old has only five goals and 17 points through 48 contests.

  Shattenkirk notched an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken. Shattenkirk has not played more than two games in a row since mid-January. The 35-year-old set up David Pastrnak's first of two goals in Monday's game. Through 47 outings, Shattenkirk has 15 points, 63 shots on net, 65 blocked shots, 37 hits and a minus-3 rating. With Derek Forbort (coach's decision) likely back in the fold Thursday versus the Golden Knights, Shattenkirk will presumably again find himself as a rotational option on the third pairing.
