Domingue was always going to be the third option in New York behind Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick, so his potential demotion shouldn't come as a surprise. There could be some teams interested in submitting a claim for the veteran Domingue, especially clubs dealing with goaltending injuries like Anaheim, Pittsburgh and Chicago. If he clears, Domingue should report to AHL Hartford.
