With the left side of the Islanders' defense ravaged by injuries, Pulock moved over to his off side to help cover. He played 29:03 in Tuesday's contest and could continue to see big minutes in all situations until one of Mike Reilly or Alexander Romanov is able to return from their respective upper-body injuries. Through 13 outings, Pulock has four assists, 19 shots on net, 17 hits, 26 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating. He has chipped in 5-6 power-play points in each of the last three seasons but typically won't feature with the man advantage when the Islanders are at full strength.

He has two assists, eight shots on net, seven hits, 14 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through seven appearances.

  Pulock (illness) won't play in Monday'e exhibition contest against Philadelphia, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. Pulock might be replaced in the lineup by Grant Hutton. The 29-year-old Pulock earned five goals, 19 points, 90 shots on net, 149 blocked shots and 99 hits across 58 regular-season outings in 2023-24. Even if he doesn't play in the Islanders' preseason finale against the Rangers on Friday, he stands a good chance of being ready for Opening Night versus Utah on Oct. 10.

During the regular season, Pulock saw action in 58 games, coming just one point shy of reaching the 20-point threshold for the third consecutive season.
