Erne will attempt to make the Blueshirts after appearing in 24 regular-season contests with the Oilers in 2023-24, where he registered just two points. The 29-year-old would most likely compete for a spot on New York's fourth line, as their top-nine forward group appears to be set. Over the course of his career, Erne has amassed 41 goals and 50 assists in 379 appearances.
