McAvoy logged an assist, seven shots on goal and three blocked shots in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Kraken. McAvoy started the season with three points over the first two games before going ice cold. His helper Sunday ended a 10-game slump on offense, though the lack of scoring hasn't cost him his spot on the first pairing or top power-play unit. The blueliner has collected four points, 24 shots on net, 21 hits, 19 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 13 appearances.

McAvoy scored a power-play goal on three shots and had one blocked shot, two hits and four penalty minutes in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Canadiens. It took McAvoy just four seconds to score after Joel Armia went to the penalty box for tripping. It was the second goal in as many games for McAvoy, who also had an assist in Tuesday's season-opening loss to the Panthers. He recorded 13 of his 47 points last season while Boston was a skater up.

McAvoy scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Panthers. He banged a rebound past Sergei Bobrovsky midway through the second period, but the Bruins were already in a 5-1 hole at that point. McAvoy added three hits, two shots on goal, one blocked shot and a plus-1 rating to his ledger. The 26-year-old blueliner has averaged about 10 goals, 42 assists and a plus-21 rating over the last three seasons, numbers that should be repeatable in 2024-25 given his secure spot on Boston's top power-play unit.

McAvoy scored a goal on six shots, dished an assist, blocked four shots, doled out three hits and added two PIM in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Panthers in Game 5. McAvoy had been held off the scoresheet for seven straight contests entering Tuesday. He helped out on Morgan Geekie's first-period tally before scoring the game-winning goal midway through the second. McAvoy has been limited to six points over 12 playoff outings, but he's added plenty of physicality with 52 hits, 33 blocked shots and 18 PIM. The 26-year-old blueliner continues to play in a top-pairing role.

McAvoy delivered 11 hits Thursday in a 2-1 loss to Toronto in Game 6. McAvoy may be adding some physicality to the lineup with his hits but he's stuck in a nine-game goal drought. The defenseman did notch five helpers, including three with the man advantage, over that stretch. Still, the Bruins have managed just two goals in their last two games and will likely need more offensive output to come out on top in Game 7 versus the Maple Leafs on Saturday.
