  Sanderson delivered three assists in a 5-4 shootout win over Montreal on Saturday. Two of his helpers came on the power play. Sanderson has 38 points (14 on the man advantage) and 28 assists in 77 games this season. He sits second on the Senators in scoring from the blue line behind only Jakob Chychrun (40). The 21-year-old Sanderson is already an impressive defender just two seasons into his NHL career.

  Sanderson scored the overtime winner in a 3-2 win over the Capitals on Sunday. Only 41 seconds into the extra frame, Sanderson won the game with his 10th goal of the season. He added one shot on net, one hit and an even rating in 25:05 of ice time. This was his second multi-point performance in as many games, and he is now at 35 points over 74 contests this season. The Senators will play on the road against the Panthers on Tuesday.

• Senators' Jake Sanderson: Produces two points in overtime win

  Sanderson registered a goal and an assist in a 2-1 overtime win over the Penguins on Tuesday. It was a goaltending duel between Joonas Korpisalo and Tristan Jarry until Sanderson broke the goose egg halfway through the third period. He provided a secondary assist in overtime to help snap a seven-game losing skid for Ottawa. The 2020 first-round draft pick finished with four shots and a plus-2 rating in 23:02 of ice time to go along with his two points. Sanderson is now on a modest three-game point streak, scoring one goal and three assists over that span. The 21-year old defenseman may eventually be a star but right now he is only averaging half-a-point per game on the season.

  Sanderson posted a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings. Sanderson has four assists, including two on the power play, over his last 11 outings. He's had trouble stringing offense together for much of the campaign, but he's played well enough all around to maintain a top-four role. Sanderson is at 28 points (eight on the power play) with 122 shots on net, 107 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 58 appearances.

• Senators' Jake Sanderson: Undergoing injury evaluation

  Sanderson (undisclosed) is scheduled to meet with a doctor Wednesday, per TSN 1200 Ottawa. Sanderson, Thomas Chabot (undisclosed) and Josh Norris (upper body) are all being checked for injuries following Tuesday's game versus the Predators. Sanderson had a power-play assist and three blocked shots in 25:06 of ice time Tuesday, so it's unclear when the injury occurred. The results of the tests will likely determine his availability for Friday's game versus the Coyotes.
