  Berggren signed a one-year, $825,000 contract with Detroit on Monday. Berggren produced two goals and four assists in 12 regular-season outings with Detroit in 2023-24. He also had 24 goals and 56 points in 53 contests for AHL Grand Rapids last campaign before adding five tallies and five helpers in nine playoff games. The 24-year-old forward will compete for a bottom-six role with the Red Wings during training camp, and he could see power-play time if he manages to secure a spot for Opening Night.
