Stankoven recorded a goal and took six shots in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Bruins. Stankoven is beginning to heat up and has found the back of the net in three of his last four appearances. The promising 21-year-old playmaker has already matched his contributions from the 2023-24 regular season, where he recorded 14 points in 12 games, as he has 14 points (four goals, 10 helpers) in only 15 contests in his second year in the league. One of the top prospects in the Stars' organization, Stankoven continues to show he belongs in a regular role at the NHL level with each passing game.

Stankoven logged an assist and a game-high five shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sharks. Stankoven helped out on Matt Duchene's second-period tally. The helper was Stankoven's second in as many games and his fifth of the year across four contests. The 21-year-old rookie has added 10 shots on net and a plus-3 rating. While he began the season on the first line, Stankoven was down to a third-line role for the second game in a row Tuesday, though he saw his most ice time in any game (17:51) in this contest, as the Stars tend to balance the usage across the top-nine forwards.

Stankoven notched an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Kraken. After two games on the top line, Stankoven was moved to a line with Jamie Benn and Wyatt Johnston. That trio connected for the Stars' second goal just 13 seconds after Sam Steel got the team on the board. Stankoven is up to four assists, five shots on net and a plus-3 rating over three contests. Regardless of which line he's listed on, his usage has been in line with a middle-six forward, and his production has been strong over the first week.

Stankoven logged an assist and three shots on goal in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 5. Stankoven has just two helpers over five contests in the Western Conference Finals after picking up four points in the second round. The 21-year-old forward is at eight points, 33 shots on net, 21 hits, 17 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 18 playoff outings. He'll likely continue to see middle-six minutes as the Stars look to keep their season alive in Game 6 on Sunday.

Stankoven scored a pair of goals, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 3. Predictably, adjusting to the playoffs has been tougher for the 21-year-old rookie than it was when he came up for the last quarter of the regular season. Stankoven is up to four points, 22 shots on net, 15 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 10 playoff contests. He's seen some even-strength time on the first line, but his usage overall is more limited than that role would suggest, as head coach Pete DeBoer is likely trying to shelter Stankoven, especially on the road.
