Pettersson recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6. Pettersson has earned two helpers in the last two games but still hasn't been living up to expectations offensively during the playoffs. He's at six points, 20 shots, 23 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 12 appearances. However, he's looked slightly better since moving to the wing alongside Elias Lindholm.

Pettersson recorded an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5. Pettersson was held off the scoresheet in the previous two games, and he nearly came up empty Thursday as well. The 25-year-old was able to contribute the secondary helper on J.T. Miller's game-winning goal in the final minute of the contest. Pettersson has underwhelmed this postseason with a goal, four assists, 18 shots on net, 22 hits and a minus-1 rating over 11 appearances. He shifted to the wing Thursday, and Elias Lindholm moved up to center the second line.

Pettersson scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2. Pettersson opened the scoring at 4:14 of the first period. The tally was his first since April 10, and he managed just four helpers and 13 shots on net over the 10 contests between goals. Pettersson is at four points, 13 shots on net and 16 hits through eight postseason appearances, which is not great production from a top-six center who posted 34 goals and 89 points in the regular season.

Pettersson isn't practicing Tuesday due to an illness, leaving his status for Wednesday's Game 1 versus Edmonton in doubt, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. After racking up 34 goals and 89 points through 82 regular-season outings, Pettersson was a bit of a disappointment during Vancouver's first-round series win over the Predators, picking up three helpers while firing just eight shots on net through six contests. Another update on his status for Game 1 will likely surface following Wednesday's morning skate.

Pettersson logged an assist in Friday's 1-0 win over the Predators in Game 6. Pettersson failed to score a goal in the first round, and he's now gone nine contests without a tally. He showed some life with an assist in three of the last four games, but the Canucks will hope for a lot more from one of their top players entering a more difficult second-round matchup with the Oilers. In addition to the three assists, Pettersson had eight shots on net, nine hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over six appearances in the first round.
