Canucks' Dakota Joshua: Game-time call against Blues
Joshua (leg) will be a game-time decision versus St. Louis on Monday, per Jeff Paterson of Canucks Army.
Joshua has been out of the lineup since Jan. 6 against the Canadiens, a stretch of 10 games on injured reserve due to his leg injury. Prior to his absence, the bottom-six winger was mired in a seven-game point drought dating back to Dec. 19 versus Vegas. Still, once given the all-clear, Joshua should step back into the lineup, likely at the expense of Max Sasson or Linus Karlsson.

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Resumes skating
Head coach Craig Berube said Monday that Tavares (lower body) has resumed skating and will likely participate in a full practice soon, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports.
Tavares has spent the last week and a half on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury, but Berube is optimistic that the 34-year-old could be back at practice in a full capacity by the end of the week. If Tavares can meet that timetable, it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to game action before the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Reassigned to minors
Kerins was sent down to AHL Calgary on Monday.
The decision to demote Kerins could simply be a paper transaction, with the youngster coming back up before Tuesday's game against Washington. Alternatively, the Flames could bring back somebody else after Kerins was a healthy scratch for the previous two contests. When he has played, the 22-year-old winger has been fairly productive, notching four assists in five games.

Devils' Nico Hischier: Unavailable Monday
Hischier (undisclosed) won't play against Philadelphia on Monday.
Hischier will miss at least one game after being injured in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Montreal. He has accumulated 24 goals, 43 points, 141 shots on net and 46 blocked shots through 51 appearances this season. Dawson Mercer will center the second line in Monday's matchup due to Hischier's absence.

Michael Rasmussen C | DET
Red Wings' Michael Rasmussen: Cleared to play against Vancouver
Rasmussen (undisclosed) is available for Monday's game against the Canucks, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Rasmussen suffered an injury after scoring an empty-netter against the Lightning on Saturday, but he won't be forced to miss game time due to the ailment. Over 12 appearances this month, the 25-year-old has logged a goal, an assist, 21 hits, eight blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-3 rating while averaging 12:17 of ice time.

Red Wings' Tyler Motte: Ready to rock
Motte (upper body) will play versus the Kings on Monday, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports.
Motte will probably return to a bottom-six role following a six-game absence. He has two goals, two assists, 31 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and 35 hits through 28 appearances this season. Motte will replace J.T. Compher (undisclosed) in Monday's lineup.

Jets' Brad Lambert: Up from AHL
Lambert was summoned from AHL Manitoba on Monday.
Lambert hasn't earned a point in four NHL outings this season while posting one shot on goal, four blocked shots and five hits. The 21-year-old Lambert will provide Winnipeg with an extra forward during the team's upcoming three-game road trip because Adam Lowry (upper body) won't be an option.

Senators' Ridly Greig: Nets shortie Sunday
Greig scored a shorthanded goal in Sunday's 3-1 win over Utah.
Greig found the back of the net for the first time Jan. 2 and also snapped an eight-game point drought with this shorthanded goal in the second period. The 22-year-old has notched 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 47 games this season, but he might have more value in leagues that reward physicality play since he's also notched 85 hits and 22 blocked shots.

Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Extends impressive streak
Keller scored a goal on five shots in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Senators.
Keller was responsible for all the offense Utah could muster in this game, and the 26-year-old winger found a way to extend what has been his most productive stretch of the campaign. Keller is now riding a seven-game point streak, tallying four multi-point efforts and 13 total points (four goals, nine helpers) in that span. Furthermore, Keller has cracked the scoresheet in all but two of his appearances since Jan. 1, posting 17 points over that 12-game span.

Rangers' Sam Carrick: Strikes for goal in loss
Carrick scored a goal in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Avalanche.
Carrick has had a pretty good January for a fourth-liner, earning four goals and four assists over 13 appearances. The center got the Rangers on the board during a frenetic stretch that saw each team score twice in a span of 2:53. Carrick is up to five goals, 15 points, 51 shots on net, 81 hits, 34 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 49 appearances. He's one point shy of matching his total from 77 outings in the 2023-24 regular season and four points back of equaling his career high from 2021-22.
