  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Steps up in win

Hyman scored twice on six shots, dished a power-play assist, went plus-2 and blocked three shots in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

This was Hyman's best game of the season and the third time he's scored multiple goals. He had been held off the scoresheet over the previous three contests. The veteran winger is up to 17 tallies, 29 points, 122 shots on net, 35 hits and a plus-13 rating over 43 appearances.

  • Filip Chytil C | VAN

Rangers' Filip Chytil: Snaps six-game goal drought

Chytil had a goal and an assist in a 6-1 win over Philadelphia on Thursday.

Chytil's third-period deflection put the Rangers up 4-1. It snapped a six-game goal drought (one assist). Rumors continue to swirl about being included in a possible trade for J.T. Miller, but nothing has come from it. Chytil's value would go up should that occur, as he'd go from being a 3C to a 2C and have a lot more opportunity. Right now, his 11 goals, nine assists and 85 shots in 39 games makes him wire-worthy in redraft formats.

  • Kirby Dach C | MON

Canadiens' Kirby Dach: Tally, assist in loss

Dach scored a goal on one shot and logged an assist in Thursday's 4-2 loss to Detroit. He added two hits and two PIM.

Dach's wraparound backhander in the second period cut the Red Wings lead to 3-1. The tally and assist continued a productive stretch for the winger, who has eight goals and 10 points over the last 14 outings.

  • Andrew Copp C | DET

Red Wings' Andrew Copp: Logs shorthanded tally

Copp scored a shorthanded goal on four shots in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens.

Copp tallied his second game-winning goal this season when he tracked down a blocked shot that caromed out to the neutral zone and beat Sam Montembeault on a breakaway. The marker was his first tally in seven games and just his second over the last 20 outings. The second-line center is up to nine goals (one shorthanded) and 10 points through 48 appearances.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Six points in last six games

Geekie scored the game-winning goal Thursday in a 2-0 win over the Senators.

David Pastrnak wrapped the puck around the net and found Geekie on the far post for an easy backdoor tap-in goal. It was his 13th goal of the season. Geekie has six points, including four goals, and 10 shots in his last six games. He seems to have good chemistry with Pasta and Pavel Zacha, so take advantage.

  • Dylan Larkin C | DET

Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Celebrates 700th game

Larkin scored a power-play goal and assisted on an even-strength tally in Thursday's 4-2 win over Montreal.

Larkin celebrated his 700th NHL game by logging his sixth multi-point effort in the last 11 outings. His rink-length foray through multiple Canadiens led to a Jonatan Berggren tally that gave Detroit a 1-0 lead in the first period. The Red Wings captain later potted the team's final goal, his 21st of the season and 12th on the power play. He has at least one point in 12 of his last 14 games, recording 19 points during that run.

  • Penguins' Blake Lizotte: Battling illness

Lizotte will miss Thursday's tilt against Anaheim due to an illness.

Lizotte has eight goals and 12 points in 33 appearances in 2024-25. His exit from the lineup coincides with Rickard Rakell, who missed Monday's 5-1 win over Los Angeles for personal reasons, returning.

  • Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Not playing Thursday

Howden (illness) won't play Thursday versus the Blues, Ryan Wallis of Fox Sports Las Vegas reports.

Howden has been dealing with an illness since Tuesday and is still not feeling well enough to play. Tanner Pearson will move up the lineup while Tanner Laczynski draws in to cover Howden's absence. The Golden Knights play again Friday in Dallas.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Returns to AHL

Toninato was reassigned to AHL Manitoba on Thursday.

Toninato made four appearances during this stint on the NHL roster, registering two shots on goal and four hits. He filled a fourth-line role. Toninato's demotion leaves the Jets with just 12 healthy forwards available, though the team is also carrying eight defensemen and is at home for the next two games, which makes any call-ups fairly simple.

  • Bruins' Trent Frederic: Returning to lineup Thursday

Frederic (illness) will return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Senators, Joe McDonald of The Hockey News reports.

Frederic missed the Bruins' last two games due to an illness, but he'll be back in action as the team returns home Thursday. He's made eight appearances in January, racking up two goals, an assist, 23 hits, 14 PIM and a plus-1 rating while averaging 14:42 of ice time.
