Mavrik Bourque C | DAL
Stars' Mavrik Bourque: Starting to find groove
Bourque scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Bourque has four points over his last five games, and two of those points have come on the power play. His tally Tuesday was also his first career game-winner, as the Stars didn't let the Maple Leafs back in after Bourque's second-period tally. The 23-year-old rookie has four goals, seven assists, 40 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through 38 appearances this season.

Conor Geekie C | TB
Lightning's Conor Geekie: Ends goal drought after scratch
Geekie scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Bruins.
Geekie entered Tuesday on a 12-game goal drought that also saw him get scratched versus the Penguins on Sunday. The 20-year-old returned to a spot on the third line in this contest instead of the second-line role he had been occupying. Geekie was able to end the slump with his sixth goal of the season. The rookie has 12 points, 47 shots on net, 70 hits and a plus-2 rating through 40 appearances. He'll need to keep his performance at an acceptable level -- if he doesn't, more scratches could be on the way.

Matthew Poitras C | BOS
Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Hands out assist in win
Poitras notched an assist in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Lightning.
Poitras was able to get on the scoresheet in his first NHL contest since Nov. 9. The Bruins' offense has sputtered for much of the season, so the 20-year-old might be able to provide a bit more than other players have in a bottom-six role. He has five points, 11 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 15 appearances and is likely to stay in a third-line role for the time being.

Trent Frederic C | EDM
Bruins' Trent Frederic: Tallies in Tuesday's win
Frederic scored a goal, added two hits and logged a fighting major in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Lightning.
Frederic has earned three points and 14 PIM over seven games in January. This was the first time since Dec. 31 that he finished a contest with fewer than three hits. The 26-year-old forward is up to seven goals, seven helpers, 64 shots on net, 130 hits, 42 PIM and a minus-9 rating through 46 appearances. He continues to bring grit in a third-line role, but he's unlikely to match last year's success on offense when he had 40 points over 82 regular-season outings.

Nick Schmaltz C | UTA
Hockey Club's Nick Schmaltz: Records two assists Tuesday
Schmaltz logged two assists, including one on the power play, and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Canadiens.
Schmaltz has four points over his last three outings. He helped out on goals by Josh Doan and Logan Cooley in Tuesday's defeat. Schmaltz is up to eight tallies, 25 assists, 92 shots on net, 21 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating through 43 appearances. He's not a very physical player, but Schmaltz's offense is good enough to fill a depth role on most fantasy teams.

Clayton Keller RW | UTA
Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Collects two helpers in loss
Keller registered a pair of assists, including one on the power play, in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Canadiens.
Keller set up Josh Doan's power-play goal 2:11 into the game and also helped out on a Logan Cooley tally in the third period. The 26-year-old Keller continues to impress with a goal and five helpers over six outings in January. The winger is up to 43 points (17 on the power play), 107 shots on net and a minus-4 rating through 42 appearances this season, and a point-per-game pace is a fair expectation for his production the rest of the way.

Nick Bjugstad C | NJ
Hockey Club's Nick Bjugstad: Lights lamp in loss
Bjugstad scored a goal and added three hits in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Canadiens.
The goal was Bjugstad's first since Nov. 23. The center was limited to one assist in December, but he's been better in January with four points over his last six games. For the season, the 32-year-old has 12 points, 61 shots on net, 56 hits, 20 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 35 appearances in a bottom-six role. He doesn't offer much upside for fantasy, especially at a position as deep as center.

Logan Cooley C | UTA
Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Scores in loss
Cooley scored a goal on six shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Canadiens.
Cooley's tally briefly tied the game at 3-3 in the third period. The 20-year-old center has four goals and three assists over nine outings since the holiday break. He's adjusted just fine to a spot on the top line between Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz, who assisted on his goal Tuesday. Cooley has 12 goals, 25 helpers, 88 shots on net, 31 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 43 contests this season.

Alex Newhook C | MON
Canadiens' Alex Newhook: Logs helper in win
Newhook notched an assist, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Utah.
Newhook was initially questionable for this contest due to an illness, but he was able to play. He also snapped a six-game point drought while filling his usual second-line role, though he had just 13:37 of ice time. The 23-year-old forward has been inconsistent in 2024-25 with 10 points, 55 shots on net, 42 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-13 rating through 43 appearances.

Kirby Dach C | MON
Canadiens' Kirby Dach: Scores twice Tuesday
Dach scored a pair of goals, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Utah.
Dach gave the Canadiens their first lead with a goal at 18:34 of the second period. He also added an insurance tally late in the third. The 23-year-old has looked good lately with six goals and an assist over his last nine contests. For the season, the second-line center has eight goals, 16 points, 70 shots on net, 70 hits, 32 PIM and a minus-23 rating through 43 appearances, but it looks like his game has taken an upward turn in recent weeks.
