Cole Sillinger C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Considered game-time decision
Sillinger is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup against the Kraken due to an illness, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
Sillinger has missed just one game over the first half of the regular season, but he's dealing with an illness that is threatening his availability for Thursday. The Blue Jackets are dealing with several injuries among their forwards, so Owen Sillinger is a candidate to enter the lineup against Seattle.

Evgeni Malkin C | PIT
Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Game-time call Thursday
Malkin (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's clash with Edmonton, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
Malkin has missed just one game so far due to his upper-body injury and could be ready to retake his spot on the Penguins' second line Thursday. If the Russian center does return, Cody Glass would likely shift back to the winger, while Anthony Beauvillier would drop out of the top six. Prior to getting hurt, Malkin was struggling to score, logging just one goal in his last eight games, though he did chip in five helpers over that stretch.

Filip Chytil C | VAN
Rangers' Filip Chytil: Remains unavailable
Chytil (upper body) will not be an option against New Jersey on Thursday, according to Peter Baugh of The Athletic.
Chytil was injured Tuesday against Dallas and was unable to practice Wednesday. The 25-year-old has 10 goals and seven assists through 33 games in 2024-25. Look for Arthur Kaliyev to move up from the fourth line to take Chytil's spot in the lineup.

Owen Sillinger C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Owen Sillinger: Promoted from minors
Sillinger was recalled from AHL Cleveland on Thursday.
Sillinger was called up as Sean Monahan was placed on injured reserve with a wrist injury in a corresponding move. Sillinger is likely to be the Blue Jackets' 13th forward versus Seattle on Thursday, as Adam Fantilli is expected to center the top line in place of Monahan. Sillinger had eight goals and 17 assists across 34 AHL appearances before his recall.

Sean Monahan C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Placed on IR
Monahan (wrist) was designated for injured reserve Thursday.
Monahan's placement on IR will see him miss at least the next three games, though it will likely be longer considering general manager Don Waddell told reporters Wednesday that the 30-year-old center would miss time. With Monahan on the shelf, Adam Fantilli could get the first crack at replacing him on the top line, while Owen Sillinger was called up from the minors to bolster the Blue Jackets' forward ranks.

Clayton Keller RW | UTA
Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Puts up power-play assist
Keller logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Panthers.
Keller set up Logan Cooley for Utah's lone goal midway through the third period. The 26-year-old Keller remains consistent -- he was coming off of a scoreless outing Saturday versus the Stars, but he avoided being held quiet for back-to-back contests, something that's happened just once this season. Overall, the winger has 40 points (16 on the power play), 103 shots on net and a minus-3 rating through 39 appearances as a steady source of offense on Utah's top line and first power-play unit.

Logan Cooley C | UTA
Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Nets lone goal in loss
Cooley scored a power-play goal on two shots and went minus-3 in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Panthers.
Cooley had mixed results in this contest, but he was able to spoil Sergei Bobrovsky's shutout bid with a third-period tally. The 20-year-old Cooley has scored three times over his last five games. He's up to 11 goals, 35 points (13 on the power play), 80 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 40 appearances. Cooley is producing offense at a level that plays in virtually all fantasy formats, and his non-scoring production is decent as well.

Anton Lundell C | FLA
Panthers' Anton Lundell: Contributes helper Wednesday
Lundell registered an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Utah.
Lundell has a goal and three assists over his last five contests. Going back to Dec. 16, the third-line center has racked up eight points over 11 outings. He doesn't always get involved on offense, but he's managed to sustain decent production even with the Panthers' forward group nearly fully healthy. Lundell has a total of nine goals, 18 assists, 86 shots on net, 64 hits, 32 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 41 appearances.

Carter Verhaeghe C | FLA
Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Earns helper in win
Verhaeghe recorded an assist, two shots on goal, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Utah.
Verhaeghe helped out on the first of Jesper Boqvist's two goals in the third period. This was Verhaeghe's third straight game with a point (one goal, two assists), and it appears he's finally settling in on the third line. For the season, the 29-year-old winger is at 10 goals, 20 helpers, 122 shots on net, 61 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-20 rating over 42 contests. While playing lower in the lineup isn't ideal, Verhaeghe remains part of the power-play mix and should continue to be noticeable on offense.

Aleksander Barkov C | FLA
Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Helps out on power play
Barkov logged a power-play assist and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Utah.
Barkov has two helpers over four games in January, though the Panthers have scored just nine goals in that span. The 29-year-old center helped out on Sam Reinhart's tally to open the scoring in the second period. Despite the recent quiet stretch, Barkov remains excellent on offense with 36 points (13 on the power play), 73 shots on net, 39 hits, 31 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 32 appearances.
