Morgan Frost C | CGY
Flyers' Morgan Frost: Hands out helper Sunday
Frost notched an assist in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Kings.
Frost is in a bit of a groove with three goals and two assists over his last five outings. The 25-year-old center is still seeing limited usage despite functioning as a second-line option with power-play time. Frost has struggled at times this year, but he's still managed 17 points, 54 shots on net, 24 blocked shots, 22 hits and a minus-8 rating through 33 appearances.

Scott Laughton C | LA
Flyers' Scott Laughton: One of each Sunday
Laughton scored a goal and added an assist in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Kings.
Laughton and Matvei Michkov set up each other's goals in this contest after being united on the second line. The 30-year-old Laughton hadn't scored over the previous six games, though he had five assists in that span following his four-goal game Dec. 12 against the Red Wings. The veteran forward is up to eight goals, 21 points, 69 shots on net, 83 hits, 21 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 37 appearances. His defensive duties will occasionally take focus, but he's consistent enough to help in deep fantasy formats.

Alex Turcotte C | LA
Kings' Alex Turcotte: Garners assist Sunday
Turcotte notched an assist in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Flyers.
Turcotte ended a three-game slump when he assisted on an Adrian Kempe tally in the first period. The 23-year-old Turcotte is seeing time on the first line at even strength, but his overall role remains somewhat limited. He's produced 14 points, 32 shots on net, 14 hits and a plus-11 rating through 31 appearances this season.

Phillip Danault C | MON
Kings' Phillip Danault: Assists in consecutive contests
Danault logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Flyers.
Danault has a helper in each of his two games since he returned from an undisclosed injury. Dating back to before the injury, he has earned an assist in each of his last four outings. The center is up to three goals, 16 helpers, 54 shots on net, 33 hits, 32 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 35 appearances. He offers depth scoring and fairly well-rounded production in a middle-six role, but Danault hasn't earned a power-play point yet in 2024-25.

Quinton Byfield C | LA
Kings' Quinton Byfield: Slings helper in win
Byfield logged an assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Flyers.
Byfield set up Anze Kopitar's game-tying goal in the third period. Everything's starting to click again for Byfield, who has five goals and three assists over his last seven contests. The 22-year-old forward is up to 19 points, 67 shots on net, 32 hits, 16 PIM and a plus-5 rating through 36 outings overall. Check the waiver wire -- Byfield's slow start to the campaign may have worn out the patience of some fantasy managers.

Anze Kopitar C | LA
Kings' Anze Kopitar: Flips script in third period
Kopitar scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Flyers.
Kopitar will be sad to be done with the Flyers this year -- his last four goals have come over two matchups with the Broad Street Bullies. He went through a three-game slump between those contests. Kopitar is up to 12 tallies, including five game-winning goals, and 39 points over 36 appearances this season. The star center has added 46 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating.

Leon Draisaitl C | EDM
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: NHL's top sniper scores twice
Draisaitl scored two power-play goals in Sunday's 5-3 loss to Anaheim.
Draisaitl has been on a tear in December, racking up nine goals and 23 points during his 11-game point streak. The German superstar has generated multi-point performances in eight of those 11 contests, and he hasn't been held off the scoresheet since Dec. 3. Draisaitl trails only Nathan MacKinnon (60) for the league lead in points. The 29-year-old Draisaitl is on pace for 125 points in 2024-25, just shy of his career-high 128 from 2022-23.

Teuvo Teravainen C | CHI
Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Contributes power-play helper
Teravainen logged a power-play assist in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Stars.
Teravainen had gone two games without a point prior to Sunday, but he has a goal and 10 assists over his last seven outings. He's earned three of those points while playing on the top power-play unit, which is his best bet for consistent offense. The veteran winger is at seven goals, 17 helpers, 12 power-play points, 62 shots on net and a minus-13 rating over 37 contests this season.
-
Connor Bedard C | CHI
Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Nets lone goal on power play
Bedard scored a power-play goal on four shots and went minus-4 in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Stars.
Bedard gave the Blackhawks a positive start with the opening goal at 12:20 of the first period. The Stars then rattled off five unanswered tallies for the win. Bedard has three goals and three assists over his last four outings, but he's also gone minus-6 in that span as the Blackhawks' defensive woes persist. The 19-year-old center has 10 goals, 32 points (15 on the power play), 93 shots on net and a minus-17 rating through 37 contests overall. He's been strong for fantasy managers who can stomach his poor plus-minus rating.

Logan Stankoven C | CAR
Stars' Logan Stankoven: Gathers helper Sunday
Stankoven logged an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Blackhawks.
Stankoven was listed on the fourth line but played 14:57 of ice time, consistent with middle-six usage. The 21-year-old forward has fallen flat in December with just three assists over 12 appearances this month. Overall, he's at 18 points, 89 shots on net, 24 hits and a minus-1 rating through 33 games. The Stars have opted to go with a veteran top six for a while, so Stankoven will have to perform well to earn his way back into a larger role on a regular basis.
