Juuso Parssinen C | NYR
Avalanche's Juuso Parssinen: Involved in trade
Parssinen and a seventh-round selection in the 2026 NHL Draft were acquired by Colorado from Nashville on Saturday in exchange for Ondrej Pavel and a 2027 third-round pick.
Parssinen has two goals and five points in 15 appearances with the Predators in 2024-25. He might get an opportunity to play regularly in a bottom-six capacity with the Avalanche.

Phillip Danault C | MON
Kings' Phillip Danault: Set to play Saturday
Danault (undisclosed) will return for Saturday's tilt against Edmonton, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.
Danault didn't play in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Washington because of the injury. He has three goals and 17 points in 33 appearances in 2024-25. Danault is projected to play alongside Kevin Fiala and Alex Laferriere versus the Oilers.

Joel Eriksson Ek C | MIN
Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Could return Sunday
Eriksson Ek (lower body) could return to action Sunday versus Ottawa, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Eriksson Ek wanted to get in one full practice to see how he was feeling afterward, so a decision should be made ahead of Sunday's game. If Eriksson Ek is unable to go, he could return Tuesday versus Nashville. Eriksson Ek has five goals and eight assists in 22 games this season. He could return to the top line, where he has spent most of the season when healthy.

Elias Pettersson C | VAN
Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Ruled out
Pettersson (undisclosed) won't play Saturday against Seattle, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Pettersson was forced out of Monday's game after suffering an apparent injury in the second period and will now miss Saturday's contest as well. Max Sasson is expected to enter the lineup in a bottom-six role in Pettersson's absence. The 26-year-old center's next chance to play will come Tuesday in Calgary.

Steven Lorentz C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Steven Lorentz: Lends helper in win
Lorentz logged an assist and three hits in Friday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.
Lorentz ended an 11-game point drought when he set up David Kampf's first-period tally. The 28-year-old Lorentz has been a fixture on the Maple Leafs' fourth line this year, adding a physical edge without much offense. He has six points, 29 shots on net, 95 hits and 26 blocked shots through 36 outings overall.

Dylan Larkin C | DET
Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Produces power-play assist
Larkin notched a power-play assist, seven shots on goal and a minus-3 rating in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Larkin bounced back from a three-game slump prior to the holiday break, which was his longest dry spell of the season. The seven shots were also a single-game best this year for the center, though he remains without a goal in the last 14 contests, coming up empty on 36 shots in that span. He's produced 27 points (11 on the power play), 90 shots on net and a minus-10 rating over 35 outings this season. It remains to be seen how a new head coach in Todd McLellan will change things for Larkin -- the bench boss had a strong defensive structure in place with the Kings, which could lead to the Red Wings taking a grittier approach going forward, but there should still be room for the first-line center to shine on offense.

John Tavares C | TOR
Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Two apples in victory
Tavares generated two assists, one on the power play, in Friday's 5-2 win over Detroit.
Tavares recorded a pair of helpers on the first two of Mitch Marner's three markers Friday. Tavares has found the scoresheet in six consecutive games, racking up five goals and six assists during that stretch. The heater ties Tavares' longest point streak of the season. The 34-year-old has filled in admirably for Auston Matthews (upper body) on the top line, and Tavares is producing at just over a point-per-game pace with 17 goals and 19 helpers through 35 contests.
-
Sam Lafferty C | CHI
Sabres' Sam Lafferty: Garners assist in win
Lafferty provided an assist and two hits in Friday's 6-2 win over the Blackhawks.
The helper was Lafferty's first point in four games since he missed nine contests due to a lower-body injury. The 29-year-old forward plays on the fourth line, so he isn't expected to chip in a lot of offense. He's been limited to two points, 15 shots on net, 16 PIM, 35 hits and a minus-2 rating over 26 appearances this season, a level of production way down from when he had 13 goals and 24 points over 79 regular-season outings with the Canucks in 2023-24.

Adam Fantilli C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Adam Fantilli: Scores in Friday's win
Fantilli scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Friday's 6-2 win over the Bruins.
Fantilli's goal was the first of four in the second period as the Blue Jackets took control of the game. The 20-year-old has had a rough December with three points, 26 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-8 rating over 14 appearances. He remains in a middle-six role and on the second power-play unit, but Fantilli's 15 points over 36 contests won't win over many fantasy managers in redraft formats.

Rasmus Asplund C | FLA
Panthers' Rasmus Asplund: Returned to AHL
Asplund was returned to AHL Charlotte on Saturday.
Asplund was up with the Panthers and played the last two games due to the absence of Jesper Boqvist (upper body). Boqvist will be back in the lineup against Montreal on Saturday. At the NHL level, Asplund has one shot on goal and one hit while averaging 7:32 of ice time on the fourth line.
