Jack Finley C | STL
Lightning's Jack Finley: Injured early Friday
Finley sustained an undisclosed injury in Friday's game versus the Blackhawks, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.
Finley fought Nick Foligno on his first shift of the game, but he came away worse for wear. There was no update on Finley's status after the contest, leaving him questionable to play Saturday versus the Blue Jackets. Simon Lundmark, a defenseman, is the lone healthy extra on the Lightning's roster currently.

Jan Chovan C | LA
Kings' Jan Chovan: Three-point effort Friday
Chovan scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Sudbury's 5-4 overtime loss to Brantford on Friday.
Chovan has earned six points over his last three games, earning four goals and two assists in that span. For the season, he's up to 12 goals and 28 points over 37 appearances. The Kings prospect isn't having a great first OHL campaign, but considering he's playing this well on a struggling team, he's done a fine job.

Mateo Nobert C | LV
Golden Knights' Mateo Nobert: Dishes trio of helpers in win
Nobert logged three assists in QMJHL Blainville-Boisbriand's 5-3 win over Quebec on Friday.
Nobert has been steady in January with three goals and seven helpers over nine contests for the Armada. The Vegas prospect is up to 55 points (21 goal, 34 assists) in 41 outings overall. Nobert has been a key part of his team's offense for the last couple of years, and he should continue to shine as a playmaker.

Anthony Cirelli C | TB
Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: In lineup Friday
Cirelli (undisclosed) is in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Blackhawks, per the NHL media site.
Cirelli left Tuesday's game versus the Sharks, but it looks like he will be fine. The 28-year-old will be in a top-six role and should see ice time in all situations.

Teuvo Teravainen C | CHI
Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Still out Friday
Teravainen (upper body) won't play Friday versus the Lightning, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports.
Teravainen is set to miss his fifth straight game. It's unclear when he will be ready to return, as it hasn't been reported that he's back on the ice yet, and he has no established timeline. The 31-year-old's next chance to play is Sunday versus the Panthers.

Jason Dickinson C | EDM
Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson: Set to return Friday
Dickinson (illness) is good to play Friday versus Tampa Bay, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.
Dickinson was a late scratch for Thursday's game against Carolina, but it seems that will be the extent of the time he'll miss due to the illness. His return might lead to Colton Dach being a healthy scratch Friday. Dickinson has six goals and 10 points in 36 outings in 2025-26.

Mason McTavish C | ANA
Ducks' Mason McTavish: Returns home
McTavish (upper body) traveled back to Anaheim but could still rejoin the team on the road after head coach Joel Quenneville told reporters Friday, "He's doing better, so I don't know if he's gonna return on this trip, but we're hopeful that he can make it back," Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
With a back-to-back set Sunday and Monday, it seems likely that McTavish will miss at least the next three games despite Quenneville leaving the door open. Considering his recovery timeline, the center could be a strong candidate for injured reserve if the Ducks need the roster spot.
-
Oskar Sundqvist C | STL
Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Moved to IR
Sundqvist (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Even with a retroactive IR designation, Sundqvist will need to miss at least the next two games, though it could certainly be longer. At this point, given the reported severity of the cut above his ankle, Sundqvist may be shut down through the Olympic break, though the Blues haven't offered a specific timeline yet.

Filip Chytil C | VAN
Canucks' Filip Chytil: Ready to rock
Chytil (upper body) will return to the lineup Friday against New Jersey, per Randip Janda of Sporrtsnet.ca.
Chytil last played Oct. 19 against Washington, seeing only 5:02 of ice time before leaving the game with his upper-body injury. He missed the last 44 games. Chytil will center Brock Boeser and Drew O'Connor on the second line. Chytil has three goals in six games this season.

Stephen Halliday C | OTT
Senators' Stephen Halliday: Pots first career goal
Halliday scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Predators.
Halliday was recalled Thursday from AHL Belleville to fill in while David Perron (groin) is on the shelf. This is Halliday's third stint with the big club this season, and he could be with the team through the Olympic break. His goal Thursday was his first in the NHL to go with six assists, 21 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-2 rating over 19 appearances as a rookie this season.
