  • Nic Dowd C | LV

Golden Knights' Nic Dowd: Dealt to Sin City

Dowd was traded to Vegas from Washington on Thursday in exchange for Jesper Vikman, a 2027 third-round pick and a 2029 second-round selection.

The Golden Knights acquired a veteran center who should see third-line minutes. Dowd had four goals, 12 assists and 113 hits across 55 games with Washington. He takes plenty of faceoffs, winning 373 of 766 draws with the Capitals in 2025-26. To make room on the roster, the Golden Knights placed Mark Stone (upper body) on injured reserve.

  • Devils' Nico Hischier: Two helpers in shootout win

Hischier pocketed two assists in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Maple Leafs.

The 27-year-old center had a hand in tallies by Timo Meier in the first period and Arseny Gritsyuk in the second. It was Hischier's first multi-point effort since Jan. 23, snapping a sluggish 10-game stretch in which he'd managed four goals but zero helpers. On the season, Hischier's up to 20 goals and 45 points in 62 contests, putting him on pace to potentially fall short of 60 points in a full season for the first time since 2019-20.

  • Lightning's Dominic James: Undergoes surgery

James (leg) will be sidelined for 8-10 weeks after undergoing surgery, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports Thursday.

James will miss the remainder of the regular season and could be sidelined through more than one playoff series, assuming the Lightning go that far. As a rookie, the 23-year-old winger put up seven goals, eight assists and 56 shots in 43 contests while averaging 12:14 of ice time.

  • Lightning's Gage Goncalves: Dealing with lower-body issue

Goncalves is sidelined with a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports Thursday.

Goncalves has already been ruled out for Thursday's clash with the Jets, but his day-to-day classification could open the door for him to return for Saturday's matchup with the Maple Leafs. Once given the all-clear, the natural center should retake a bottom-six role, especially with Dominic James (leg) sidelined for the rest of the regular season.

  • Tomas Hertl C | LV

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Two points including OT winner

Hertl scored the overtime winner on the power play and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over Detroit.

After having a hand in Mitch Marner's game-tying tally late in the third period, Marner returned the favor in OT, finding Hertl in space in front of Cam Talbot and giving the veteran room to work. It was Hertl's fourth GWG of the season, his best total in that category since 2021-22, and his 23 power-play points (13 goals, 10 assists) has tied the career high he set last season.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Notches pair of assists

Pettersson had two assists, including one on the power play, and added two PIM, two shots on net and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

Pettersson hasn't scored in his last 15 NHL games, earning nine assists in that span. The 27-year-old put up two goals over five contests at the Olympics, both coming in Sweden's win over Slovakia in round-robin play. Pettersson is at 13 goals, 22 helpers, 91 shots on net, 47 hits, 89 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating over 52 appearances. Fantasy managers will want to hold onto him through the trade deadline to see if he gets a change of scenery, but it's looking less likely he'll get back to stardom as long as he's in Vancouver.

  • Marco Rossi C | VAN

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Collects two power-play points

Rossi scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

Rossi had been held off the scoresheet in the Canucks' first three games after the Olympics. The 24-year-old center is still trying to settle in with his new team, though he's in a position to succeed on the second line. Overall, he has 17 points, 42 shots on net, 19 hits, 23 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating through 29 appearances between the Canucks and the Wild this season.

  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Provides pair of helpers in win

Jarvis logged two assists and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Canucks.

Jarvis helped out on goals by linemates Andrei Svechnikov (on the power play) and Sebastian Aho. With five points over four games since the Olympics, Jarvis continues to play well in a top-line role. The 24-year-old forward is up to 26 goals, 22 helpers, 167 shots on net, 73 hits and a plus-9 rating through 53 appearances this season. He remains on pace to reach the 60-point mark for the third year in a row.

  • Blues' Brayden Schenn: Distributes three assists

Schenn notched three assists, three shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.

Schenn hasn't scored in eight games, but he has six helpers in that span, including four over his last two contests. The 34-year-old had a hand in all of the Blues' goals Wednesday while playing in a top-line role. He's up to 28 points, 87 shots on net, 138 hits, 49 PIM, 27 blocked shots and a minus-23 rating across 61 appearances.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Goal, assist in Wednesday's win

Thomas scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.

Thomas has back-to-back two-point games since he returned from a leg injury. The 26-year-old center has added five shots on net and a plus-3 rating in those contests. For the season, he's up to 13 goals, 37 points, 65 shots, 25 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 44 outings. This was the Blues' last game before the trade deadline -- if he's not dealt, he'll continue his top-line role when they face the Sharks on Friday night.
