  • Avalanche's Gavin Brindley: Called back up

Brindley was recalled from AHL Colorado on Friday.

Brindley was sent down earlier Friday, but he'll be called up later in the day, a signal that the move was simply made so he'll be eligible to participate in the AHL playoffs. Across 47 appearances with the Avalanche this year, he's recorded six goals, six assists, 31 hits, 12 blocked shots and eight PIM while averaging 9:51 of ice time.

  • Rangers' Juuso Parssinen: Recalled Friday

Parssinen was called up by the Rangers on Friday, per the AHL transaction page.

Parssinen spent less than a full day in the minors, but his brief reassignment makes him eligible for the AHL playoffs. He has two goals, three points, four PIM, 21 hits and nine blocks in 15 outings with New York in 2025-26.

  • Flyers' Denver Barkey: Up from AHL

Barkey was summoned by Philadelphia on Friday, per the AHL transaction page.

Barkey was only briefly with AHL Lehigh Valley for the purpose of maintaining his eligibility for the AHL playoffs. He has two goals and 10 points in 26 games with the Flyers in 2025-26.

  • Kings' Quinton Byfield: Might be available for Saturday

Byfield (upper body) might be an option for Saturday's game against Montreal, per John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio.

Byfield has 13 goals, 33 points, 30 PIM, 45 hits and 33 blocks in 58 appearances in 2025-26. He's missed the Kings' past two games because of the injury. Kenny Connors might be a healthy scratch versus the Canadiens if Byfield is available.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Avalanche's Nazem Kadri: Heading to familiar home

Kadri and a 2027 fourth-round pick were acquired by Colorado from Calgary on Friday in exchange for a conditional 2028 first-round selection, a conditional 2027 second-round pick, Victor Olofsson and Max Curran, per Pierre LeBrun of TSN.

The Flames are also retaining 20 percent of Kadri's remaining salary, so Colorado will be responsible for a $5.6 million annual cap hit through the 2028-29 campaign. Kadri has 12 goals and 41 points in 61 outings with the Flames in 2025-26. He's returning to an organization he's very familiar with. Kadri spent three campaigns with Colorado from 2019-20 through 2021-22. He took a huge step forward in 2021-22, providing 28 goals and 87 points in 71 regular-season outings before adding another seven goals and 15 points in 16 playoff appearances to help Colorado win the Stanley Cup in 2022. Kadri might serve primarily as Colorado's third-line center behind Nathan MacKinnon and Brock Nelson, but Kadri should contribute significantly more offensively than that role typically suggests.

  • Ty Mueller C | VAN

Canucks' Ty Mueller: Still in AHL

Mueller wasn't called up to Vancouver on Friday despite an earlier report to the contrary, per Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650.

Mueller has 11 goals and 28 points in 49 outings with AHL Abbotsford in 2025-26. The 23-year-old hasn't played for Vancouver this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Won't play Saturday

Coyle will not be in the lineup against Utah on Saturday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.

  • Brad Lambert C | WPG

Jets' Brad Lambert: Recalled by Winnipeg

Lambert was recalled from AHL Manitoba on Friday.

The Jets traded several of their contributors ahead of Friday's deadline, so Lambert will rejoin the NHL club for the first time since mid-November. He's made 34 appearances with Manitoba this year, generating six goals, seven assists, 18 PIM and a minus-10 rating.

  • Flyers' Denver Barkey: Sent down to minors

Barkey was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Barkey's demotion could be a temporary move to make him eligible for the AHL playoffs, so fantasy managers will want to monitor his status ahead of Saturday's clash with Pittsburgh. In his last 10 outings for the club, the 20-year-old center has managed just two points and nine shots.

  • Jiri Kulich C | BUF

Sabres' Jiri Kulich: Season likely over

Kulich (ear) has been improving but will likely miss the rest of the 2025-26 season, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports Friday.

Kulich has been out of action since Nov. 1 against the Capitals due to an issue related to fluid in his ears. It was determined later to be a blood clot. As a rookie in 2024-25, he notched 15 goals and nine assists in 62 games. He had three goals and five points in 12 appearances during the 2025-26 campaign. Buffalo general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said Friday that doctors are hopeful the issue will resolve in time for next season.
