Stephen Halliday C | OTT
Senators' Stephen Halliday: Called up from minors
Halliday was recalled from AHL Belleville on Monday.
Halliday has appeared in 25 games for the Senators during his rookie campaign, notching four goals, seven helpers and 27 shots along the way. If Brady Tkachuk isn't back from his participation in the Winter Olympics, there could be open spots in the lineup for both Halliday and fellow call-up Tyler Boucher against the Red Wings on Thursday.

Blake Lizotte C | PIT
Penguins' Blake Lizotte: Practices Sunday
Lizotte (personal) was back on the ice with the team Sunday, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports.
Lizotte missed the final game before the Olympic break while awaiting the birth of his child, but he was back on the ice for Sunday's session. With Lizotte in the lineup, he figures to rejoin Connor Dewar and Noel Acciari on the fourth line and should see decent penalty-kill minutes.

Noel Acciari C | PIT
Penguins' Noel Acciari: Back at practice
Acciari (illness) participated in Sunday's practice, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports.
Before the Olympic break, Acciari sat out Pittsburgh's 5-2 win over Buffalo on Feb. 5, but he should be available to play against New Jersey on Thursday. He has contributed six goals, 15 points, 54 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and 46 hits across 42 appearances this season.

Sheldon Dries C | DET
Red Wings' Sheldon Dries: Back with NHL club
Dries was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids under emergency conditions Monday.
Dries has been shuffled between the AHL and NHL clubs over the past week, and he'll rejoin the Red Wings on Monday to be available for practice late in the Olympic break. The 31-year-old has been productive in the minors this year, recording 18 goals and 16 assists over 42 appearances with the Griffins, but he hasn't yet appeared in a game for Detroit during the 2025-26 campaign.

Tyler Hopkins C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Tyler Hopkins: Erupts for four goals, assist
Hopkins scored four goals and added an assist in OHL Guelph's 8-5 win over Saginaw on Sunday.
Hopkins has been under a point-per-game pace for both Guelph and Kingston this season. He moved to the Storm in a Dec. 28 trade from the Frontenacs. Overall, Hopkins is at 21 goals, 45 points and a minus-1 rating over 51 appearances, so this kind of burst of offense isn't likely to be a common occurrence for the 19-year-old.

Tyler Pitlick C | MIN
Wild's Tyler Pitlick: Scores twice for Iowa
Pitlick scored two goals in AHL Iowa's 5-1 win over Manitoba on Sunday.
Pitlick has five goals and two assists over five outings with Iowa during the NHL's Olympic break. The veteran forward spent nearly three months with the big club prior to the break, and it's possible he returns to Minnesota as a depth option when the team resumes play Thursday versus the Avalanche. Pitlick is at 11 points in 10 AHL appearances.

Jack Hughes C | NJ
Devils' Jack Hughes: Scores Golden Goal
Hughes scored the game-winning goal in overtime Sunday as Team USA defeated Canada 2-1 to claim the gold medal at the Olympics.
The Devils center lost some teeth earlier in the game after a high stick by Sam Bennett, but Hughes didn't miss a shift and scored the biggest goal of his career 101 seconds into the extra frame on a feed from Zach Werenski. Hughes will resume NHL play this week after scoring four goals and seven points in six games during his first Olympics.

Tage Thompson C | BUF
Sabres' Tage Thompson: Officially playing against Canada
Thompson (undisclosed) will be available for Sunday's gold medal game against Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Emily Kaplan of ESPN reports.
Thompson exited Friday's semifinal win over Slovakia after blocking a shot off his foot, but he was expected to suit up in the gold medal game and has officially been given the green light against Canada. He's been productive during the 2026 Winter Olympics, recording three goals, an assist and a plus-3 rating across his five appearances.
-
Sidney Crosby C | PIT
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Won't play against United States
Crosby (lower body) has been ruled out for Sunday's gold medal game against the United States at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Crosby sustained his lower-body injury during Wednesday's quarterfinal matchup against Czechia and was unavailable for Friday's semifinal against Finland. The 38-year-old was considered a game-time decision for Sunday's gold medal game after skating at a closed practice Saturday, but he'll ultimately be held out against Team USA in what seems likely to be his final Olympics. Crosby will now shift his focus toward the resumption of the NHL season, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up for the Penguins' matchup against New Jersey on Thursday.

Owen Martin C | WPG
Jets' Owen Martin: Logs four more points
Martin scored a goal and added three assists in WHL Spokane's 7-1 win over Tri-City on Saturday.
Martin has five goals and four assists over his last three games. That's an unusual burst of offense for the Jets prospect, who typically plays more of a two-way game. Even with the surge, he's up to 40 points in 53 appearances this season -- while a career-best total, it's not much compared to more talented prospects.
