Cooley (lower body) skated in a non-contact jersey during Monday's practice, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.

Bagley noted that Monday marked the first time Cooley has participated in any drills at practice. Regarding Cooley's recovery, head coach Andre Tourigny said, "He's not there yet. He needs a little bit more time to heal and to get stronger but we're happy with the progression." The 21-year-old Cooley remains on injured reserve and likely won't be back in the lineup until after the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Lindholm (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site reports.

Lindholm suffered an upper-body injury during last Tuesday's game against Nashville, and he was already ruled out for this Wednesday's matchup against the Panthers. While he'll technically be eligible to return for Thursday's game against the Blue Jackets, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Bruins hold him out ahead of the Olympic break. Lindholm is slated to play for Sweden during the upcoming Olympics, but it's not yet clear whether his injury will impact his availability.

Head coach Mike Sullivan said Monday that Laba (upper body) is considered day-to-day, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

Laba exited Saturday's matchup against the Penguins due to an upper-body injury, but Sullivan seemed to downplay the severity of the issue. Laba participated in Monday's practice session and seems to have a chance to suit up Thursday against the Hurricanes.

Necas (lower body) won't be in the lineup against Detroit on Monday, according to Bailey Curtis of DNVR Sports.

Necas will miss his second straight game, but the team hopes to get him back for Wednesday's matchup against San Jose. He has amassed 22 goals, 62 points, 124 shots on net and 57 hits across 52 appearances this season. Due to Necas' absence, Valeri Nichushkin moved up to the top line in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Red Wings.

Head coach Lindy Ruff said that Norris (ribs) is progressing in his recovery but won't play in Monday's game against the Panthers, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.

Norris was upgraded to day-to-day last week, but he hasn't yet received the green light to return to game action. Following Monday's matchup, the Sabres have two more games on their schedule before the Olympic break, but it's not yet clear if the 26-year-old will be available Tuesday against the Lightning or Thursday against the Penguins.

Sturm (illness) will suit up against the Canadiens on Monday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.

Sturm will be back in the lineup after missing just one game due to illness. The veteran forward has been struggling offensively, going 13 games without a goal while generating a mere two helpers. Tyler Pitlick figures to be the odd man out with Sturm returning to a bottom-six role.

Monahan (illness) participated in Monday's practice, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Monahan should be available for Tuesday's matchup against New Jersey after leaving Saturday's 5-3 win over St. Louis. He has earned nine goals, 26 points, 80 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and 27 hits through 50 appearances this campaign.

Lundell (upper body) won't be in the lineup against Buffalo on Monday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Lundell remains day-to-day and will miss his third straight game. He participated in Monday's morning skate in a non-contact jersey, making it unclear if he will be ready for Wednesday's home matchup against Boston. Lundell has contributed 15 goals, 36 points, 120 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and 63 hits across 52 appearances this season.

Hertl scored a goal, added two PIM and logged two hits in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks.

Hertl had picked up three assists during a five-game goal drought. He gave the Golden Knights a chance after cutting the deficit to one goal at 19:54 of the third period, but there wasn't enough time for an equalizer. Hertl continues to provide steady offense from a middle-six role. He's now at 22 goals, 48 points, 145 shots on net, 74 hits, 35 PIM, 27 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 55 appearances.

Poehling scored an empty-net goal, added an assist and went plus-3 in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Golden Knights.

Poehling set up Chris Kreider's goal in the first period and then deposited an empty-netter in the third. The latter ended up being a critical insurance goal, as Tomas Hertl brought Vegas back within one in the final minute of the game. Poehling has done well in a larger role lately, earning two goals and four assists over his last seven appearances. For the season, the 27-year-old center is at six goals, 23 points, a plus-10 rating, 51 shots on net and 57 blocked shots through 49 outings.
