  • Blue Jackets' Brendan Gaunce: Surfaces on waivers

Gaunce was put on waivers Tuesday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Gaunce has picked up two goals, four assists, 29 shots on net, 21 blocked shots and 44 hits across 25 NHL games this season. If he clears waivers, he will likely head to AHL Cleveland. Gaunce has four goals and six points in 12 minor-league appearances during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Aston-Reese: Hits waiver wire

Aston-Reese was placed on waivers Tuesday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

The Blue Jackets are now fully healthy up front, so they have elected to run the risk of losing Aston-Reese and Brendan Gaunce, who was also waived Tuesday, to other teams. Should he go unclaimed on the waiver wire, Aston-Reese will report to AHL Cleveland. The 31-year-old has one goal, five points and 71 hits across 26 appearances in 2025-26.

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Earns two more points in win

Hyman scored a power-play goal on three shots, added an assist, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 7-4 win over the Ducks.

Hyman logged his second multi-point effort in a row. He's earned eight goals and four assists over his last nine outings, a span that includes five multi-point efforts. The 33-year-old winger is up to 21 goals, 35 points (12 on the power play), 112 shots on net, 34 hits and a plus-12 rating over 35 contests. He's a must-have player in fantasy as long as he continues to play alongside Connor McDavid.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Lights lamp in overtime loss

Geekie scored a goal on four shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Rangers.

Geekie has gotten back into form with four goals and two assists during a four-game point streak. He toiled on the third line for a large part of January, but he returned to a line with Elias Lindholm and David Pastrnak for Monday's contest. Overall, Geekie has 29 goals, 48 points, 122 shots on net, 84 hits and a minus-3 rating through 52 appearances. He may fade further from the point-per-game threat, but he's just five goals away from resetting his career high again.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Pots goal Monday

Miller scored a goal in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Bruins.

Miller has three goals and six assists over the last six games. The 32-year-old forward is up to 14 goals, 33 points, 100 shots on net, 88 hits and a minus-18 rating through 44 appearances this season. The Rangers' inconsistent offense has taken a toll on Miller's production, but his uptick recently corresponds with a span in which the team has scored 21 times in six contests.

  • Islanders' Mathew Barzal: Pair of points Monday

Barzal potted an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Monday's 4-0 win over the Flyers.

Both of Barzal's points came in the middle frame, as he redirected an Isaiah George shot past Samuel Ersson before setting up Tony DeAngelo's fourth goal of the season. Barzal has registered at least one point in nine of his last 13 games, a stretch in which he's collected two goals, 12 helpers (five on the power play) and 20 shots while averaging 20:26 of ice time. With Bo Horvat now back in the fold, Barzal is currently centering the second line between Anthony Duclair and Jonathan Drouin.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Scores, assists vs. Anaheim

McDavid recorded a goal and an assist in Monday's 7-4 win over the Ducks.

McDavid was unable to repeat the five-point performance he delivered in the win over the Capitals on Saturday, but it's hard to put adjectives in the dominant season he's having in 2025-26. He has failed to crack the scoresheet just four times since the beginning of December, tallying an impressive 56-point haul (22 goals, 34 assists) in only 28 games.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Four more assists Monday

Draisaitl delivered four assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 7-4 win over the Ducks.

Draisaitl continues to shine as an elite playmaker and is up to 49 assists and 74 points in 51 contests this season. He ranks fourth in the league in helpers behind Connor McDavid (59), Nikita Kucherov (54) and Nathan MacKinnon (50). Despite missing three games between Jan. 17 and Jan. 20 due to an illness in his family, the star playmaker has still racked up 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 10 games in January.

  • Ducks' Mikael Granlund: Nets hat trick in loss

Granlund scored three goals on the power play in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Oilers.

Granlund scored three of the Ducks' four goals, and each of them came when Anaheim had the man advantage. Surprisingly, these were the first goals Granlund scored on the power play since netting one against the Bruins in a 7-5 win all the way back to Oct. 23. He's been turning things around after a mini slump earlier this month and now has six points (three goals, three assists) in his last three games.

  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Pots PP goal Monday

Cirelli scored a power-play goal in Monday's 2-0 win over Utah.

Cirelli closed out the scoring for the Lightning at the 19:14 mark of the third period with a wrister. It was his 15th goal of the campaign, and the 28-year-old center is now riding a four-game point streak with six points (three goals, three helpers) in that span. Cirelli has been very productive over the last few weeks and is averaging over a point per game in January with 13 (five goals, eight assists) and a plus-10 rating in 12 contests.
