  • Blackhawks' Dominic Toninato: Elevated from minors

Toninato was recalled from AHL Rockford on Tuesday.

This is Toninato's first call-up of the season after being placed on waivers by Chicago in late September. The 31-year-old forward has accounted for five goals, 17 points, 12 PIM and a minus-8 rating across 24 games with the IceHogs this season. He'll probably serve as the Blackhawks' 13th forward while Nick Foligno works his way back from a hand injury.

  • Lars Eller C | OTT

Senators' Lars Eller: Game-time call Tuesday

Eller (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision against New Jersey on Tuesday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Eller could return following a two-game stint on the shelf due to his undisclosed injury. Prior to getting hurt, the Dane was stuck in a 14-game pointless streak dating back to Oct. 30 versus the Flames. If Eller does play, it likely means Kurtis MacDermid will be dropped from the lineup.

  • Mammoth's Nick Schmaltz: Chips in with helper

Schmaltz distributed an assist, put two shots on goal and blocked two attempts in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.

Schmaltz had the primary helper on Clayton Keller's goal midway through the final period. With the apple, Schmaltz is up to 15 assists, 26 points, 72 shots on net and 23 blocks through 31 games this season. His eight-game point drought through the end of November is firmly in the rear-view mirror as he has four points in his last three games. Despite his lack of points as of late, Schmaltz has upped his play on the other side of the puck with 12 blocks in his last nine outings. Both his offensive and defensive numbers could partially be attributed to his move to the top-line center role in the absence of Logan Cooley (lower body). With Cooley out indefinitely, Schmaltz will be relied upon in his new role up the center of the ice, giving him increased value in category fantasy leagues moving forward.

  • Islanders' Jean-Gabriel Pageau: Set to return from UBI

Pageau (upper body) will be in the lineup at home Tuesday versus the Golden Knights, according to Stefen Rosner of NHL.com.

Pageau will suit up for the first time since Nov. 22, as he missed the last eight games due to his upper-body injury. The right-shot forward took line rushes with Mathew Barzal and Anders Lee during Tuesday's morning skate, so Pageau may not be eased into action after some time off. Maxim Tsyplakov might be a healthy scratch due to Pageau's return.

  • Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Lights lamp against Sabres

Sharangovich scored two goals and added an assist in Monday's 7-4 win over Buffalo.

It's been a rough season overall for both Sharangovich and the Flames, but they might be finding a groove. The 27-year-old winger has just six goals on the season in 27 games, but half of them have come in the last two contests, and over the last 10 games, he's produced four goals and seven points.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Three points in Monday's win

Kadri scored a goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.

It's the second time in the last six games that Kadri has erupted for three points, and he's racked up five multi-point performances in the last 10 contests, a stretch in which he's delivered two goals and 14 points. The 35-year-old center has yet to miss a regular-season game since coming over to Calgary ahead of the 2022-23 season, but with just six goals in 31 games to begin the current campaign, he's on pace for his lowest total as a Flame.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Nets game-winning goal

Kopitar scored a goal, fired three shots on net and dished out two hits in Monday's 4-2 win over Utah.

Kopitar tallied the go-ahead goal under four minutes into the final period of play. With the twine finder, Kopitar has six goals, nine assists, 42 shots on goal and 21 blocks through 25 games this season. The 38-year-old center has four goals in his last 10 games and is heating up offensively. While his numbers aren't on pace to match his point output from the past few seasons, he scores with enough consistency to give him fantasy relevance in nearly all formats. Kopitar is seven tallies away from 1,300 points, which is a milestone he should comfortably hit before retiring at the end of this season.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Two helpers in Monday's loss

Norris notched two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Flames.

The Sabres were never able to catch up after falling behind 2-0 in the first period, but Norris did his best to spark the offense by having a hand in tallies by Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin in the second frame. Norris has gotten onto the scoresheet in four straight games since returning from an upper-body injury that had sidelined him for most of October and all of November, producing two goals and seven points during that span as he tries to make up for lost time.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Peppers net in return to lineup

Point (undisclosed) fired four shots on net and added one hit and a minus-1 rating in Monday's 2-0 loss to the Maple Leafs.

After missing the prior seven games, Point returned to the lineup Monday and slotted right back onto the top power-play unit while tying for the team lead in shots on net. It's been a rough season so far for the 29-year-old center, who has just three goals and 11 points in 22 games, but the time off may have allowed him to get re-focused in addition to getting healthy.

  • Bobby McMann C | SEA

Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Facing suspension

McMann will have a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Tuesday for a high stick on Oliver Bjorkstrand.

Since McMann is having a hearing with the league, fantasy managers can expect him to at least be suspended for Thursday's clash versus the Sharks, if not longer. The potential absence of McMann will likely open up a spot in the lineup for Nicholas Robertson, though Matias Maccelli should also be in the mix.
