Alex Wennberg C | SJ
Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Pair of points Sunday
Wennberg scored a power-play goal, tallied an assist and blocked three shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Wennberg lit the lamp on a power play near the 15-minute mark in the second period before picking up an assist on Macklin Celebrini's empty-net goal. After his pair of points Sunday, Wennberg is up to six goals, nine assists, 32 shots on goal and 36 blocks through 30 games this season. The 31-year-old center has stepped up in his role on the second line in the absence of Michael Misa (lower body) and Logan Couture (groin). Wennberg sees the necessary ice time to succeed in fantasy but will need to generate more offensive consistency with San Jose's top six to be a solid fantasy option long term.

Tim Washe C | ANA
Ducks' Tim Washe: Two-goal game for Gulls
Washe scored twice in AHL San Diego's 5-1 win over Texas on Sunday.
Washe was consistent early in November, but his offense has started to fade over the past month. He has three goals over his last six games, but this was his first multi-point effort since Nov. 7 versus Ontario. Washe has still done pretty well for an AHL rookie, earning 10 goals and seven helpers over 20 appearances this season.

Brady Martin C | NSH
Predators' Brady Martin: Breaks out of slump
Martin scored twice and added an assist in OHL Sault Ste. Marie's 7-3 win over Sarnia on Sunday.
Martin had 11 point over his first five games back in the junior ranks, then went five contests without a point. He's turning things around now with three goals and two helpers over his last two outings, giving him 16 points and a plus-7 rating over 12 appearances in total. The Nashville prospect has a promising future, but consistency will be something for him to focus on in the near term.

Macklin Celebrini C | SJ
Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Adds three points Sunday
Celebrini scored an empty-net goal, distributed two assists, placed three shots on goal and served two PIM in Sunday's 4-1 win over Carolina.
Celebrini provided the primary helpers on the goals scored by Collin Graf and John Klingberg before the young phenom found the back of Carolina's empty net in the final two minutes of the game. With the trio of points, Celebrini is up to 15 goals, 28 assists and 81 shots on goal through 30 games this season. The 19-year-old superstar continues to challenge many of the league's best atop the point leaderboard, as he currently ranks second in the NHL with 43 points. Celebrini is on pace to become the first player to score 100-plus points in one of their first two seasons since Connor McDavid accomplished the feat during the 2016-17 campaign.

Teuvo Teravainen C | CHI
Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Avoids missing back-to-back games
Teravainen (teeth) will return to the lineup Sunday in Anaheim, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Teravainen sat out of Saturday's game in Los Angeles, but he'll suit up Sunday and skate on the third line alongside Jason Dickinson and Ilya Mikheyev. The 31-year-old Teravainen has generated six goals, 17 points (eight on the power play), 30 shots on net and a plus-4 rating over 27 appearances this season.

Colton Sissons C | LV
Golden Knights' Colton Sissons: Unavailable in Manhattan
Sissons (illness) won't play in Sunday's road game versus the Rangers, Golden Knights broadcaster Dan D'Uva reports.
Sissons was on the ice for pregame warmups, but he won't be in the lineup Sunday. He was also unavailable for Friday's game in New Jersey due to his illness. Since he was seemingly close to being in the lineup against the Rangers, he might be an option to play when Vegas continues its road trip Tuesday on Long Island.

Adam Edstrom C | NYR
Rangers' Adam Edstrom: Remains out of lineup
Edstrom (lower body) won't be an option for Sunday's home contest versus the Golden Knights, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic.
Edstrom will remain sidelined for the fourth straight game Sunday, as he hasn't been in the lineup since Nov. 29 against the Lightning. The 25-year-old will have a few days to get ready for New York's next game, which will be in Chicago on Wednesday.

Sean Couturier C | PHI
Flyers' Sean Couturier: Nets opening goal Sunday
Couturier tallied a goal, blocked three shots and dished out two hits in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.
Couturier found the back of the net just over two minutes into the contest to give the Flyers an early lead. The 33-year-old center has five goals, 17 points, 36 shots on goal, 26 hits and 21 blocks across 26 games this season. Philadelphia's captain has points in back-to-back games and seven points in his last nine contests. Couturier's fantasy value is mostly limited to deeper formats, but he has some streaming value given his current run of points and decent category coverage.

Brock Nelson C | COL
Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Scores power-play goal
Nelson scored a goal, blocked three shots and dished out three hits in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Flyers.
Nelson tallied his 10th goal of the season late in the first period with the man advantage to take a 2-1 lead. The 34-year-old center is up to 10 goals, 19 points, 47 shots on net and 25 blocks through 29 games this season. His tally Sunday secured his 13th consecutive year with double-digit goals. Additionally, Nelson is on pace to exceed his previous career high of 55 blocked shots. He has seven points in his last five games, which has put Nelson on pace to top 50 points for the fifth consecutive year.

Jordan Kyrou C | STL
Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Won't play Sunday
Kyrou (lower body) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Canadiens, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Kyrou suffered a lower-body injury during Saturday's game against Ottawa, and he'll be unavailable for the second half of the back-to-back set. The Blues will return home ahead of Tuesday's game against the Bruins, and Kyrou is slated to get an MRI once he's back in St. Louis. Matt Luff will enter the lineup in Kyrou's absence Sunday.
