Trent Frederic C | EDM
Oilers' Trent Frederic: First goal of season a GWG
Frederic scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over the Rangers.
The veteran center took advantage of a poor dump-in attempt by Urho Vaakanainen midway through the second period, getting sprung for a partial breakaway by Kasperi Kapanen and slipping the puck through Igor Shesterkin's five-hole. It was Frederic's first regular-season goal with the Oilers after being acquired from the Bruins last season at the trade deadline, and his first point in three games of the 2025-26 campaign.

Jared McCann C | SEA
Kraken's Jared McCann: Two points in OT loss
McCann produced a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
Both points came in the third period as the Kraken grabbed a 4-3 lead, only for the Habs to surge back. McCann has had a fast start to the season while skating on the top line and top power-play unit, putting together a three-game point streak with three goals and a helper.

Dakota Joshua C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Dakota Joshua: First point with new team
Joshua logged an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Predators.
Joshua earned his first point in four games with the Maple Leafs. He's been a fixture on the fourth line to start 2025-26, adding seven hits, two blocked shots and a minus-4 rating. Joshua had a career-high 32 points for the Canucks in 2023-24, but he dipped to 14 points in 57 outings in 2024-25. It'll be tough for him to improve on that output if he remains in a fairly limited role.

Bobby McMann C | SEA
Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Nets goal in win
McMann scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Predators.
McMann has found the scoresheet in three of Toronto's first four games, earning two goals and an assist. He's added 10 shots on net, 14 hits, five blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. McMann often begins games on the third line but occasionally sees shifts higher in the lineup. While a full-time top-six role would be ideal, the 29-year-old is making the most of the minutes he's getting now, making him an intriguing option for fantasy.

Sidney Crosby C | PIT
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Garners pair of helpers
Crosby notched two assists, three shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks.
Crosby helped out on goals by Rickard Rakell and Anthony Mantha. This was Crosby's second multi-point effort through four games this season. He has a goal, three helpers, seven shots on net, five hits, three blocked shots and a minus-2 rating. The 38-year-old is still highly productive in a top-line role and on the first power-play unit, so he can continue to be rolled out in all fantasy formats.

Rickard Rakell C | PIT
Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Bags goal in loss
Rakell scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks.
Rakell has two goals and an assist through four contests this season. He got a piece of a Ryan Shea shot to put the Penguins ahead 2-0 at 7:01 of the first period. Rakell can be streaky on offense, but at his best, he offers high-end category coverage while playing in a top-six role. He's collected 10 shots on net, six hits, six blocked shots and a minus-2 rating to begin 2025-26.

Leo Carlsson C | ANA
Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Supplies two power-play assists
Carlsson logged two power-play assists, three blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Carlsson has multiple points in both games where the Ducks have scored two or more goals. He's up to one goal, four assists (three on the power play), eight shots on net and a minus-2 rating over three total contests this season. The 20-year-old center has the talent to sustain a hot start, which could lead to an even bigger breakout than his 45-point sophomore campaign in 2024-25.
-
Logan Stankoven C | CAR
Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Pockets pair of helpers
Stankoven logged two assists, four shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.
Stankoven has a goal and three points, along with eight shots on net, over three games to begin the year. With Jesperi Kotkaniemi getting healthy scratched Tuesday, it's a good sign that the second-line center job will be Stankoven's for the foreseeable future. The 22-year-old forward could be in line for a breakout year as long as he remains a key part of the Hurricanes' top six.
-
John Tavares C | TOR
Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Big three-point effort in win
Tavares had a goal and two assists in a 7-4 win over Nashville on Tuesday.
The line of JT, William Nylander and Matias Maccelli drove a lot of the game Tuesday. Tavares put the Leafs up 3-2 near the midpoint of the second frame when he jammed in the rebound of Nylander's shot at the top of the slot. The 35-year-old has not slowed down this season -- he has a goal and four helpers in four games.

Auston Matthews C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Gets two goals including winner
Matthews scored twice Tuesday in a 7-4 win over Nashville.
Matthews pushed the winner past Justus Annunen at 10:42 of the third period. He took a pass on a give-and-go with Matthew Knies and scored from below the right hash marks past the goalie's outstretched pad. His second went into an empty net. Matthews has 64 game-winning goals, passing Dave Keon for second in Maple Leafs history. Mats Sundin is first with 79.
