Stars' Justin Hryckowian: Brought up from AHL
Hryckowian was called up from AHL Texas on Tuesday.
Hryckowian missed out on the Stars' initial roster for cap-related reasons, but he'll now take his spot with the big club. The 24-year-old has a chance to carve out an NHL role while Jamie Benn (upper body) is on long-term injured reserve for likely the first month of the season or more.

Kevin Stenlund C | UTA
Mammoth's Kevin Stenlund: Being evaluated
Stenlund (undisclosed) will be evaluated further after leaving Tuesday's practice early, Brogan Houston of Deseret News Sports reports.
It's unclear at this time if Stenlund will be available to play against Colorado on Thursday in Utah's regular-season opener. The 29-year-old forward had 14 goals and 28 points in 82 games during the 2024-25 regular season. If Stenlund sits out Opening Night, Andrew Agozzino could fill in on the fourth line.

Mammoth's Barrett Hayton: Considered day-to-day
Hayton (undisclosed) is day-to-day, according to Brogan Houston of Deseret News Sports on Tuesday.
Hayton sported a non-contact jersey during Tuesday's practice while subbing in during line rushes and power-play drills. He still has time to recover before Thursday's regular-season opener against the Avalanche. If he receives the green light to play, he will probably slot into a middle-six role. Dorofeyev (lower body) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Kings, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Dorofeyev participated in Tuesday's practice and is likely to receive clearance to return to the lineup after missing some time during the preseason. He compiled 35 goals, 52 points and 254 shots on net across 82 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Dorofeyev will likely occupy a middle-six role and could see time on the top power-play combination this campaign.

Teddy Blueger C | VAN
Canucks' Teddy Blueger: Set to miss some time
Blueger is contending with an undisclosed injury and won't be available for at least the first three games of the 2025-26 season, per Ben Kuzma of Postmedia on Tuesday.
Blueger was injured in Friday's preseason game versus the Oilers, and general manager Patrik Allvin said Tuesday that the 31-year-old forward is expected to be out "another week." With that update in mind, Blueger shouldn't be expected to return to the lineup until Oct. 16 in Dallas at the earliest. The 2012 second-round pick appeared in all 82 games in 2024-25, chipping in eight goals and 26 points.

Cerrato helped lead Penn State to a weekend sweep over Arizona State, compiling two goals, four assists, a plus-4 rating and 12 shots on goal. Five of his points came in a 6-3 win Friday. Cerrato was viewed as a bit of a reach by the Hurricanes when they selected him in the second round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, but he impressed with 42 points in 38 games as a freshman in 2024-25 and is off to a great start this year.

Wild's Hunter Haight: On Opening Night roster
Haight is a part of Minnesota's Opening Night roster, per Michael Russo of The Athletic on Tuesday.
Haight was expected to start the year in the minors, but Nico Sturm's placement on injured reserve due to a back injury necessitated the Wild adding another forward to the roster. Haight embarked on his professional career with AHL Iowa in 2024-25, contributing 20 goals and 34 points over 67 games. He might open the 2025-26 campaign as Minnesota's fourth-line center.

Wild's Nico Sturm: Moves to IR
Sturm (back) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.
In a corresponding move, Minnesota recalled Hunter Haight. Sturm had been dealing with a back issue during training camp, but he returned to the lineup in Friday's preseason finale. If he aggravated the injury during Monday's practice, he will miss at least the first three games of the 2025-26 campaign. Still, a timeline for his return is unclear. Once healthy, he will be in the mix for a fourth-line role.
