Ben Meyers C | SEA
Kraken's Ben Meyers: Waived by Seattle
Meyers was placed on waivers by the Kraken on Thursday.
Meyers inked a one-year contract with Seattle in June but was unable to land a spot on the team's Opening Night roster. He'll head to AHL Coachella Valley if he clears waivers, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him spend most of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

Lars Eller C | OTT
Senators' Lars Eller: Hopeful for Saturday return
Head coach Travis Green said Thursday that he hopes Eller (abdomen) will be able to suit up in Saturday's preseason finale against the Canadiens, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.
Eller has already been ruled out for Thursday's preseason matchup against the Blues, but he could have an opportunity to suit up for the Senators ahead of the regular season. Eller has spent training camp recovering from minor abdominal surgery, but he's been trending in the right direction and appears to be in the mix to be available for the start of the regular season.

Sam Carrick C | BUF
Rangers' Sam Carrick: Seen in regular jersey
Carrick (lower body) was in a regular jersey during Thursday's morning skate, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports, indicating that he's been cleared to return to action.
Carrick missed Monday's preseason game against the Islanders due to his lower-body injury, and he was in a non-contact sweater during Wednesday's practice session. However, he appears to have progressed ahead of Thursday's preseason game against the Devils and could be an option for that matchup. Regardless of the role he plays over the Rangers' final two preseason games, it wouldn't be surprising to see him available for the team's Opening Night matchup against the Penguins on Tuesday.

Martin Pospisil C | CGY
Flames' Martin Pospisil: Leaves Wednesday's game
Pospisil (undisclosed) exited Wednesday's preseason game versus the Canucks and there was no update on his status after the contest, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports.
It's not clear how Pospisil was injured. The 25-year-old forward can be considered day-to-day until the Flames provide an additional update. Pospisil will likely fill a bottom-six role during the regular season, assuming he's healthy.

Jonathan Huberdeau C | CGY
Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Exits with injury Wednesday
Huberdeau (undisclosed) left Wednesday's preseason game versus the Canucks and there was no update on his status after the contest, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports.
Huberdeau crashed into the Canucks net and goalie Kevin Lankinen during the contest. Huberdeau was able to get off the ice under his own power, and Calgary is hopeful that the injury isn't serious. Huberdeau will probably not play Friday versus the Jets in the Flames' preseason finale, and the winger's status for Opening Night versus the Oilers next Wednesday is uncertain.

Jack McBain C | UTA
Mammoth's Jack McBain: Unavailable for Thursday
McBain (undisclosed) isn't expected to play in Thursday's preseason game against the Kings, per Catherine Bogart of Utah's official site.
McBain is considered day-to-day, so he might still be an option for Saturday's exhibition clash versus San Jose. McBain recorded 13 goals, 27 points, 78 PIM and 291 hits across 82 outings with Utah in 2024-25. Once healthy, McBain will likely occupy a bottom-six role.

Chandler Stephenson C | SEA
Kraken's Chandler Stephenson: Won't play against Edmonton
Stephenson (undisclosed) will miss Seattle's preseason finale against Edmonton on Wednesday, per Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network.
Stephenson recorded 13 goals and 51 points in 78 outings with Seattle in 2024-25. The 31-year-old should serve in a top-six capacity when he's healthy, but if Stephenson isn't available for Opening Night, then Shane Wright might begin the campaign with a bigger role.

Wilmer Skoog C | FLA
Panthers' Wilmer Skoog: Placed on waivers
Skoog was put on waivers by Florida on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Skoog had nine goals, 24 points and 63 PIM in 72 regular-season outings with AHL Charlotte in 2024-25. The 26-year-old hasn't made his NHL debut, and there's no guarantee that it will come this campaign. Look for him to rejoin the Checkers if he clears waivers.

Sheldon Dries C | DET
Red Wings' Sheldon Dries: Available on waivers
Dries was placed on waivers by the Red Wings on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Dries spent the entirety of the 2024-25 campaign in the minors with AHL Grand Rapids, generating 25 goals and 15 helpers in 65 regular-season tilts before adding two points in three playoff appearances. While the 31-year-old does have NHL experience, he hasn't played in a game in the league since 2022-23, when he suited up 63 times for the Canucks. If he can keep scoring at a high level in the minors, Dries may force his way into the Red Wings' roster at some point.
