Jacob Gaucher C | PHI
Flyers' Jacob Gaucher: Heads to AHL
Gaucher was sent to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
Gaucher had 20 goals, 38 points and 47 PIM in 70 regular-season outings with Lehigh Valley in 2024-25. The 24-year-old might get a call-up at some point during the upcoming campaign, but he should end up spending the majority of the season in the minors.

Sam Carrick C | BUF
Rangers' Sam Carrick: Practices in non-contact jersey
Carrick (lower body) participated in Wednesday's practice, but he was wearing a non-contact jersey, per Colin Stephenson of Newsday.
Carrick hasn't been ruled out for Thursday's preseason game against New Jersey, but he'll presumably need to take contact in a practice before rejoining the lineup. The 33-year-old had six goals, 20 points, 58 PIM and 137 hits across 80 appearances with the Rangers in 2024-25.

T.J. Tynan C | COL
Avalanche's T.J. Tynan: Demoted after game
Tynan was reassigned to AHL Colorado after Tuesday's preseason game versus the Golden Knights.
Tynan's stay with the big club was a short one. The 33-year-old forward is likely to spend much of the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL.

Vladislav Namestnikov C | WPG
Jets' Vladislav Namestnikov: Expected to be fine
Namestnikov (upper body) was removed from Tuesday's preseason game versus the Wild by the concussion spotter, but head coach Scott Arniel indicated the center was likely to be fine, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Namestnikov's status will be worth monitoring ahead of Friday's preseason finale versus the Flames. The early report suggests Namestnikov should be okay for Opening Night on Oct. 9 versus the Stars. The 32-year-old center is projected to fill a middle-six role this season, assuming he isn't sidelined at the start of the campaign.

Jonathan Toews C | WPG
Jets' Jonathan Toews: Needs further evaluation
Toews (undisclosed) "tweaked something" in Tuesday's preseason game versus the Wild and will undergo further evaluation in the coming days, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.
Toews exited the game in the second period and did not return. The 37-year-old center was one of two Jets to leave the contest, as Vladislav Namestnikov (upper body) was also hurt. Toews' status should be updated prior to the Jets' preseason finale Friday in Calgary.

Noel Acciari C | PIT
Penguins' Noel Acciari: Set to play Wednesday
Acciari (abdomen) was named to the Penguins' roster for Wednesday's preseason clash with Buffalo.
Acciari looks set to make his preseason debut after dealing with a core muscle injury since the start of training camp. In his 79 games for Pittsburgh last year, the 33-year-old center notched five goals and seven helpers. With new head coach Dan Muse taking the reins and GM Kyle Dubas wanting to go younger, the veteran Acciari could find himself watching from the press box as a healthy scratch periodically.

Noah Philp C | CAR
Oilers' Noah Philp: Battling illness
Philp (illness) is doubtful for Wednesday's preseason game versus Seattle, according to Tom Gazzola of Edmonton Sports Talk.
Philp didn't participate in Tuesday's practice. With David Tomasek also under the weather, the Oilers may need to bring up some reinforcements from AHL Bakersfield for Wednesday's contest. Philp had two assists, 17 shots on goal and 15 hits over 15 regular-season appearances with Edmonton in 2024-25.

Shane Bowers C | SJ
Sharks' Shane Bowers: Let go by San Jose
Bowers was placed on waivers by the Sharks on Tuesday, according to James Mirtle of The Athletic.
Bowers will report to AHL San Jose if he doesn't find a new team via the waiver wire. The 2017 first-round pick (No. 28 overall) appeared in just four regular-season games with New Jersey last year, though he suited up for 65 outings with AHL Utica, notching three goals and 17 points.

Anthony Richard C | PHI
Flyers' Anthony Richard: Surfaces on waivers
Richard was placed on waivers Tuesday, according to PuckPedia.
Richard had two goals and six points in 15 appearances with the Flyers during the 2024-25 regular season. He also contributed 17 tallies and 19 assists across 42 games for AHL Lehigh Valley last campaign before adding four goals and seven points in seven playoff outings. If he clears, he could be a call-up option for Philadelphia this year.
