NHL Player News

  • Jets' Rasmus Kupari: Remains unavailable

Kupari (concussion) won't play against Chicago on Saturday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports, and likely won't be an option for Sunday's matchup versus Edmonton.

Kupari accompanied the Jets on the team's two-game road trip, but his return to the lineup is not imminent. It's unclear if he'll play again before the end of the regular season. He has five goals, eight points, 53 shots on net and 77 hits across 59 appearances this season.

  • John Hayden C | SEA

Kraken's John Hayden: Still on NHL roster

Hayden cleared waivers but will remain on the Kraken's roster for Saturday's game against St. Louis.

Hayden has a goal, two points, 31 PIM and 44 hits in 19 appearances with the Kraken in 2024-25. He's an option for Saturday's clash versus the Blues but might be a healthy scratch.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Likely done for season

Norris (undisclosed) probably won't return before the end of the regular season, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports Saturday.

Norris will miss his 15th straight game versus Florida on Saturday. He has appeared in only three games with the Sabres since being acquired from the Senators on March 7. Norris is poised to conclude the 2024-25 campaign with 21 goals, 35 points, 96 shots on net, 47 blocked shots and 135 hits across 56 appearances between Buffalo and Ottawa. If he can stay healthy, he could occupy a top-six role for the Sabres in 2025-26.

  • Nils Aman C | VAN

Canucks' Nils Aman: Done for season

Aman (shoulder) will miss the final three games of the 2024-25 campaign.

Aman will miss his fifth straight game against Minnesota on Saturday. He will finish the regular season with one goal, five assists, eight shots on net and 22 hits across 19 NHL appearances. Aman added seven goals and 30 points in 36 AHL appearances this campaign.

  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Won't play vs. Nashville

Eichel (upper body) isn't available Saturday versus Nashville.

Eichel is set to miss his third consecutive game. He has 27 goals and 93 points in 76 outings in 2024-25. Eichel's next opportunity to play will come Tuesday in Calgary.

  • Kings' Alex Turcotte: Expected to return Saturday

Turcotte (upper body) is ready to return for Saturday's game against Colorado, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Turcotte will return to a bottom-six role after missing the last nine games. He has eight goals, 23 points, 38 hits and 27 blocks in 64 outings in 2024-25. Due to Turcotte's return, Jeff Malott or Trevor Lewis might be a healthy scratch versus the Avalanche.

  • Blues' Alexandre Texier: Not playing Saturday

Texier (upper body) won't play against Seattle on Saturday, per Lou Korac of The Hockey News.

Texier will miss his fourth straight game due to injury, but he hasn't been in the lineup since March 27 against Nashville. He has contributed six goals, 11 points, 50 shots on net and 20 hits across 31 appearances this season. It's unclear if Texier will be ready to play against Utah on Tuesday in the Blues' regular-season finale.

  • Max Sasson C | VAN

Canucks' Max Sasson: Won't play Saturday

Sasson (undisclosed) is unavailable Saturday against Minnesota, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Sasson appeared in Vancouver's last four games, but an injury will force him to miss at least one contest. Ty Mueller was called up from the minors and will make his NHL debut in Sasson's absence.

  • Sharks' Thomas Bordeleau: Called up Saturday

Bordeleau was recalled from AHL San Jose on Saturday.

Bordeleau should give the Sharks some depth at forward in the final week of the regular season. The 23-year-old winger has yet to appear in an NHL game in 2024-25 after logging six goals and 11 points in 27 contests with the Sharks last year.

  • Tyler Motte C | DET

Red Wings' Tyler Motte: Finds twine Friday

Motte scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked three shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning.

Motte has held down a fourth-line role when healthy this season. He's earned four points over his last 14 games, and he's up to nine points, 60 shots on net, 68 hits, 47 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating across 52 appearances. His limited offense makes him a poor option in most fantasy formats.
