Cooley (lower body) was taken off injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's matchup against Colorado, per the NHL media site.
Following a 28-game absence, Cooley is set to occupy a second-line role in addition to linking up with the No. 2 power-play unit. Before getting hurt, Cooley didn't have a point in four straight games, but he could still challenge for the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds now that his injury is behind him.

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Available for Wednesday's game
Carlsson (thigh) is good to go for Wednesday's game against the Oilers, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Carlsson hasn't played since mid-January due to a thigh procedure, but he'll return to game action during the Ducks' first matchup following the Olympic break. Across 44 appearances this year, he's recorded 18 goals, 26 assists and 29 PIM while averaging 19:28 of ice time.

Ducks' Mikael Granlund: Won't play Wednesday
Granlund has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Oilers due to an upper-body injury, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Granlund's upper-body injury is believed to be a short-term concern, but he'll be unavailable for the Ducks' first game following the Olympic break. Head coach Joel Quenneville said Wednesday that Granlund is expected to skate Thursday and could return to game action Friday against Winnipeg.

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Set to return Wednesday
Rossi (lower body) will be taken off injured reserve and play Wednesday versus Winnipeg, per Canucks Insider.
Rossi has five goals and 15 points in 25 appearances between Minnesota and Vancouver in 2025-26. Rossi is poised to serve on the second line alongside Drew O'Connor and Brock Boeser (concussion). Aatu Raty and Max Sasson will probably be healthy scratches to accommodate the returns of Rossi and Boeser.

Capitals' Connor McMichael: Activated from injured reserve
McMichael (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
McMichael was placed on injured reserve at the end of January, but he should be back in action Wednesday against the Flyers, which is the Capitals' first game following the Olympic break. The 25-year-old has recorded eight goals, 23 assists, 30 hits and 30 blocked shots while averaging 17:03 of ice time over 55 appearances this season.

Oilers' Adam Henrique: Taken off LTIR
Henrique (undisclosed) will be activated off long-term injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's game in Anaheim, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.
Henrique hasn't played since Jan. 6 due to the injury. He has two goals and 10 points across 43 appearances in 2025-26. Henrique will probably occupy a bottom-six role while replacing Kasperi Kapanen (undisclosed) in the lineup.

Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Slated to miss next two games
Cirelli (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Wednesday versus Toronto or Thursday in Carolina, per Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site.
The Lightning are hoping to get Cirelli back for Saturday's match against Buffalo. Cirelli missed Tampa Bay's past two games and the Olympics because of the injury. He has 15 goals and 35 points in 49 appearances in 2025-26.

Canadiens' Alex Newhook: Returning Thursday
Newhook (ankle) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup versus the Islanders on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Newhook will suit up for the first time since Nov. 13 against Dallas, a stretch of 40 games on the shelf due to a fractured ankle. While the 25-year-old center will slot into a bottom-six role, he should also see time with the second power-play unit. Prior to getting hurt, Newhook was having a solid 2025-26 campaign, racking up six goals and six helpers in 17 appearances.

Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Battling illness
Zibanejad isn't available for Wednesday's practice due to an illness, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic.
Zibanejad has 23 goals and 52 points in 56 appearances in 2025-26. His status for Thursday's game against Philadelphia isn't known. If Zibanejad can't play, then Noah Laba might shift into the top six, and Brendan Brisson would probably make his NHL season debut.
