Shane Pinto C | OTT
Senators' Shane Pinto: Lights lamp twice Monday
Pinto scored two goals in Monday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Capitals.
The 24-year-old center sparked a comeback from a 3-0 deficit by tipping home feeds from Jake Sanderson in the second period and Michael Amadio in the third, but the Senators eventually fell short in the shootout. Pinto missed the last four games in February due to an upper-body injury, but he's kicked off March with a bang by finding the back of the net three times in two contests. On the season, he's produced 14 goals and 25 points in 48 appearances.

Sean Monahan C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Timeline extended
Monahan (wrist) is not expected back until late March, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports Tuesday.
Monahan has been skating for a while, which should help him hit the ground running once his wrist injury is healed. Once given the all-clear, the 30-year-old center should reclaim a top-six role for the Jackets in addition to linking back up with one of the power-play units. Until then, Adam Fantilli will continue to see big minutes on the first line.

Cole Sillinger C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Facing weeks on shelf
Sillinger (shoulder) is expected to miss several weeks after general manager Don Waddell told reporters Tuesday, "We know he doesn't need surgery. We've had that confirmed. It's just a matter of rehabbing the shoulder, which is very sore and swollen. It's gonna be a few weeks," per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.
Sillinger is expected to miss most of March based on his recovery timeline. The 21-year-old center is just one point shy of reaching the 30-point threshold for the third time in his four-year NHL career. With the Columbus native on the shelf, Justin Danforth could see an uptick in ice time while filling a third-line role.

Teuvo Teravainen C | CHI
Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Two assists in win Monday
Teravainen recorded two assists in Monday's 5-1 win over the Kings.
Teravainen didn't find the back of the net in this huge win, but at least he managed to extend his impressive stretch of form. This two-point effort was his second straight multi-point performance and extended his streak of games with at least one point to five. Furthermore, Teravainen has notched three goals and 14 points across his last 10 appearances dating back to Feb. 1, as he's been thriving while skating alongside Ryan Donato and Ilya Mikheyev.
-
Ryan Donato C | CHI
Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Two more points Monday
Donato scored an empty-net goal and added an assist in Monday's 5-1 win over the Kings.
Donato closed out the scoring with an empty-netter in the final stages of the third period, but he had previously left his mark when he set up Ilya Mikheyev's goal in the second period. Donato, who was coming off a three-point effort in the 6-3 win over the Ducks on Sunday, has been outstanding of late. He's riding a five-game point streak and has notched 16 points (seven goals, nine helpers) over his last 10 outings dating back to Feb. 1.

Anze Kopitar C | LA
Kings' Anze Kopitar: Nets goal Monday
Kopitar scored a goal in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Blackhawks.
Kopitar tallied the Kings' lone goal with a wrister midway through the first period, giving him 14 goals on the year. The 37-year-old veteran might not be the player he once was, but he continues to put up solid numbers, and his role as a top-six forward gives him a solid fantasy floor in most formats. Kopitar has notched 14 goals and 48 points across 59 appearances in 2024-25.

John Tavares C | TOR
Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Two points Monday
Tavares scored a power-play goal and added a power-play assist in Monday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Tavares broke the deadlock for the Maple Leafs midway through the second period with his 24th goal of the season, and he later participated in the build-up of Matthew Knies' power-play tally. Tavares has been in deadly form since returning from a six-game absence in late January due to a lower-body injury, and he's notched 10 points (four goals, six assists) over his last 10 contests, adding a plus-5 rating, 21 shots on goal, seven hits and seven blocked shots over that span.
-
Alex Wennberg C | SJ
Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Credited with two assists
Wennberg recorded two assists in Monday's 3-2 shootout win over the Maple Leafs.
Wennberg didn't find the back of the net in this one, but there's no question he thrived in a playmaking role after participating in the build-up of the team's two third-period goals. This two-helper outing extended his point streak to three games, a span in which he's recorded five assists, three shots on goal and three blocked shots.

Steven Lorentz C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Steven Lorentz: Not playing Monday
Lorentz (undisclosed) won't play against San Jose on Monday, according to David Alter of The Hockey News.
Lorentz will miss his second straight game. He has generated five goals, 14 points, 52 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and 148 hits in 59 appearances this season. Calle Jarnkrok (groin) will replace Ryan Reaves in Monday's lineup. Lorentz's next chance to play comes versus Vegas on Wednesday.

Calle Jarnkrok C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Calle Jarnkrok: Removed from LTIR
Jarnkrok (groin) was activated from long-term injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.
After having groin and sports hernia surgery in November, Jarnkrok will presumably make his season debut against San Jose on Monday following a 60-game absence. He accounted for 10 goals and 21 points across 52 regular-season appearances in 2023-24. Jarnkrok will probably replace Ryan Reaves in Monday's lineup.
